Longer Chapters · 11:14pm May 4th, 2015
So, some of you I've noticed would like longer chapters instead of waiting around for about two days to get a "measly 1,500-word chapter". I understand. In the past, I used to update my stories at least twice a day. That was when I had time on my hands. Now I don't since school wants to give out finals and such. So...I'm going to ask you this.
Do you want longer chapters? Please let me know. But be aware that you'll have to wait a longer time since, well, it's longer.
Don't pay too much attention to the chapter word counts. Use as many words as you need to say what you want to say in the way you want to say it. For some chapters this will be more; for some it will be fewer.
PS: you're in the featured box again!
3045177 Thanks for your words of wisdom. It seems that most times I update my story, it ends up being featured on the third to last box in less than 15 minutes! It's good advertisement.
Personally, I would say do what feels comfortable to you, You are providing something nice and fun for others, Its not like this is your job after all.
Enjoy yourself doing what you do.
3045233 I appreciate your feedback, my friend.
IMO, 1,500 word chapters are about the bare minimum for something to actually happen other than just going from plot point A to plot point B with any atmosphere whatsoever. For anything truly compelling to happen 2,500–4,000 words per chapter is enough although, personally, I prefer about 5,000–6,000.
