Well I got fined for turning a party into a mosh pit... · 9:29pm Apr 28th, 2015
Seriously, I was at the Diamonds bar and ballroom in my city and everybody got buck real quick. I played some of the most grimy tracks I had in my crates on Serato... Most of them were pretty old tracks and my equalizing was off a bit near the end, but I cleared that up with bit crushing the shit out of the last few tracks. They never knew the difference, but the cops did....
I had no idea I was peaking some decibel level there and they were getting noise complaints... So now here I am with a fine for noise pollution and it's $500! All because we were having a good time, and I refused to turn down the bass...
I REGRET NOTHING!
I've had the cops at my house over SEVEN TIMES for my car's insane 3600 watt sound system.
Never got fined once though, I only ran the system for 5 minutes which is the legal limit to blast it without a permit in the state.
And no more than 120DB from 25FT away.
WHY ZOMBOY.
WHY.
I always find it strange that some people live near a club, a kindergarten or a factory for that matter and then complain about noise, kids or polution or something else.
If I live near a nightclub, I have to expect some noise, same goes for kindergarten and the screams and stuff of playing kids. I'm all for being considerate about each other, but some people just complain for the sake of complaining, even though they could see their problem coming from a mile away.
3027599 Lol, I knew nothing about those laws... But oh well.
And why not Zomboy, I'm surprised I didn't play more of him... But I was on a lot of local tracks that day.
3028067 I know, and the freakin' ballroom was suppose to be sound suppressant or proof... I forgot what they said, whatever they had though didn't do well enough because they got 19 noise complaints in 2 hours.
I've played there before and never had a problem, I startin to think I was set up, lol.
