Chapter Rewrite! · 1:22am Apr 24th, 2015
Hey all! Thanks for your feedback. Let me tell you something: Any person can claim that their story is great, wonderful and excellent, and any person can tell someone else that what they've written as pretty awful... But it really takes some guts to admit what horrid thing you've written is just that. Keep that in mind.
I've had several people already tell me that my latest chapter is contrived, rushed and chaotic, and to be honest, I completely agree. "The part where the problem was only made worse" is probably the biggest muddle-mess I've ever written since my previous version of this story. Now this story's supposed to be in the process of a rewrite, with the express purpose of making the end result better. What I had written is most-certainly not the case, and I apologize. This is inexcusable. So now I intend to make a rewrite. That means the older version shall be put aside. That said, what do you think I should do with the older chapter?
Stick it back up with the older chapters, and mark it [Rejected] in the title? Complete with an Author's note at the top of where the chapter originally was?
It must be taken deep into Mordor, and cast back into the fiery chasm from whence it came. One of you, must do this...
Kidding! Seriously, though, I found the chapter to be enjoyable, but it was one major what the heck just happened that escalated really quickly moment. If it were me re-writing, I would write over the old chapter with the new one, and just put (re-written) next to the chapter name. Or you could take it to the bottom of the chapter lists along with the older version of the story. Either way, I will be happy with whatever you decide
I definitely had that feeling before. Both of my stories on here I've disliked... because i disliked them... because they were shallow and badly paced (I think. I have no concept of quality of pacing).
Least their concepts are unique
