Octavia story chapter 1

Here's the first chapter. This one will also be three chapters, but the third will be a short epilogue, so it'll be a bit shorter than the Greengrass story.

Note: spoilers in comments. As before, since this is using characters that aren't well defined in the L-verse yet, I'm going to hold off on publishing this till I know that everyone seems to think it fits in the L-verse well. To get that feedback, I'm revealing a couple of things (okay, just the identity of the unnamed mare in this chapter) in the comments.

(If you're wondering how I'm writing this quickly, it's not due to some kind of super-discipline on my part or anything. Thing is, I'm abroad right now. My dormitory is in the middle of nowhere and is twenty minutes from anything that isn't a dormitory -- bookstores, clubs, movies, downtown, anything -- and that's if the train is running, which it isn't after midnight. Oh, and we have no Internet in our rooms. Thus, when I get home for the day, it's a pain to leave, I can't go online, and it's a huge pain to find English language books or movies in town that I can watch. So, all I have to do is write. :-) Plus, on the weekends we're taking train trips all over the country, which is more writing time.)
