Finishing Finished my master's in Biology in Washington State, job hunting now. I enjoy camping/hiking, tapletop RPGS, and being lazy. I also dabble in writing and drawing, among other things.

    Update

I feel like I should write a short explanation for my absence, at the least. I don't want to go into too much detail, but I can give a brief explanation.

    Chapter 5!

Hey all! Chapter 5 of 'Earth Ponies Can Cast Spells Too' is finally here! It only took 13+ months. :derpytongue2:

On the bright side, Chapter 6 is also mostly written, just needs to be polished and reviewed. I've also finally found a job, which means I should have a bit more time for writing. Hopefully the rest of the chapters won't take so long!

    Finally, officially, a SCIENCE MASTER

I just finished my thesis defense, and it went amazingly well. It's finally official, I have a Master's degree in Biology! :D

Now, I must be off. It's time to drink copious amount of alcohol in celebration! (We need a Berry Punch icon on this site!)

To make this relevant: that also means that, once I find a real job, I should have a fair bit more time available for writing. Huzzah!

    Arts, Avatars, and Stories

I managed to submit a drawing for almost every day this year for EQD's Artist Training Ground. It was good fun, I learned a lot, and I feel like I really improved on that front.

Earth Ponies Can Cast Spells - Chapter 2 out! · 5:35am Apr 18th, 2015

Hello all! I finally finished chapter 2 of Earth Ponies Can Cast Spells Too. Give it a read, and let me know what you think!

It took longer than I expected, but a full-time job and thesis work doesn't leave much time for writing. Hopefully I'll be able to get the next one out a bit quicker, but I can't promise anything.

Thanks again for all the positive feedback. You're the reason I kept this story going, and I'm glad I did, it's been great fun! :pinkiehappy:

Oh! I should probably mention this: If some parts of this chapter don't make sense (namely, the whole Braeburn thing), you should reread the beginning of the first chapter. I did some rewriting on it when talking with the EQD pre-readers, so if you just read the earliest version I posted, you might've missed the fey's introduction.

This story really does have a great potential for world-building. My kind of favorite story element.

Is Paulicus a Fimfiction editor or something? I don't seem to follow him, yet his blogs appear in my feed. I can't find Paulicus on the staff page either.
I don't mind them, just why do I see them?

3004060 No editor, just some random user. Not sure why you're seeing my blogs. Sorry about that!

2993062 I'm looking forward to figuring it all out. :raritystarry:

If you're following/subscribed to the story that he tagged in his blog post, that's the reason why you see the blog post.

Well, I guess you're right. I put this on my "Read Later" list, and seeing Chaotic Note's comment that this fic pays a lot of attention to worldbuilding, I'll definitely read it when I'll complete my exams. :D

3006067 The next few chapters should have more worldbuilding elements in them. Hopefully they don't disappoint!

3007254 Haha, I'm sorry, but I'm not the one to judge. This is my exam period now, so honestly, I haven't even read the first chapter. Gotta prepare for this Friday, oooh this will be an important one. Anyway, I guess Fimfiction will notify you if I add your story to favourites, so in some form you'll get a feedback from me anyway. :)
