Sigh...I'm just gonna vent here. If one checks the statistics on Burning Up it's obvious that the vast majority of the views come from Equestria After Dark (like 9,000). So once, I picked it up again I submitted it to EAD. Well...the site appears to be half-dead now. It only updates like once a week, alternating between pictures and stories. When they did update the stories, it only had one there and it wasn't mine. This leads me to think that either a) the person who runs the site is only giving updates on stories they like b) they only post one at a time and there is a huge back log, c) they didn't get it or d) fucking PATREON.
What do I mean by fucking Patreon? For those who don't know, Patreon is a site (I'm guessing the name comes from the word patron) where one can sign up to sponsor a site or artist or whatever, usually for like a dollar a month. The idea is that if enough people do that, the person receiving the money could receive hundreds of dollars per month to do whatever it is their doing. One problem, what's their motivation? They get the money anyway, why try so hard? I get that it could help artists and such who are frequent victims of piracy, but in reality I think it takes away a lot of the motivation for people.
I digress, Equestria After Dark was redone about this time last year after losing all of it's data, so the posts about my story are gone. My story generated a lot buzz because of how many tags (i.e. fetishes) it had on it. The FAQ of this new site says they update twice a day, which is a bold-faced lie. Why am I mentioning all of this? Well, on the Patreon page for EQAD is the goals, two of them caught my eye. One promises that if they reach this goal that they will update daily with new pictures. The final goal, and one they are not likely to achieve, is that they will update twice a day.
So my thinking is that the FAQ was saying what they were GOING to do and then changed their minds once they realized they could get actual money to run the site, rather than just the traffic and the ads (by the way, the ads are still there and will remain so until they reach a pretty high goal). So in short, I'm guessing I'm either ignored or in the back log. Don't get me wrong, all of you have read my latest chapter have my deepest and sincerest heartfelt gratitude. I appreciate every single one of you and I love the fact that love reading my stuff. I was just hoping to get a big spike from EQAD so I could break past the big 10,000. Then I could cover myself in hot chocolate, sacrifice a goat to the pagan gods and then dance around a fire naked. Instead, I'll have to put that on hold until I get the views the old fashion way. I'm an attention whore that's being starved. Oh well, you win some and you lose some and sometimes you just can't get 10,000 views.

Well there's your problem, you're expecting the dark gods to reward you BEFORE the naked, chocolate covered goat sacrifice.

and then be rewarded with EQAD updating every 6 hours,
and possibly make money too.

If the story is in someone's bookshelf/favorites they'll see that it updated, and it gets moved to the top of "last updated" obviously, but I imagine some people dropped it from their lists when it was inactive for so long and not everyone checks the group's library very often.
I'd say a single post announcing the story's revival wouldn't be too crass in terms of self advertising.
You're misreading. The last tier says that the site would add more timeslots. It currently (attempts) to run on a schedule of 3pm EST to 3am EST, with a post slot every two hours. So on a good day, there'd be posts at 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, 9pm, 11pm, 1am, and 3am. The last tier would fill in the gaps between posts.
Let me know the name of your story and I'll schedule a post for it. There's a very large backlog of things and making time for posting is difficult (hence the Patreon), so I don't often get to everything. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I don't know how that makes sense, considering you post things like once every three or four days but whatever. The story is Burning Up. The Patreon complaint was just based on experience. If what you say is true, then "b)" is correct and there is a backlog.
Also, how did you find this? This is one dude ranting on the internet about someone being slow about posting things. There's got to be countless people doing that about your site.
