New Lightsaber, Deadly or Selfinflicting?

While the new Lightsaber looks kinda badass, I frankly find it flawed.

If the style of lightsaber dueling is like it was in episodes 4-6, then yeah no real problem there. However if it's the faster like episode 3, and the clone wars, then this thing is more likely to cause harm to it's wielder than it is to kill the opponent. While the two small blades will keep the opponent from slicing the hilt in half, if your swinging that thing around all fast like, then you're probably going to wind up slicing yourself apart.

This one is very cool and very logical. The red things coming from the sides may be a protection against the enemy's lightsaber
