Equestria Girls Special: "Mirror Magic" Review

Ok, this is my last blog review of the "recent" Equestria Girl specials. Sorry that it's been awhile since my last post... but it was my birthday the other day so I took a few days. In fact, one of my presents was the "Legends of Everfree" movie DVD. However, that is going off topic. I got some opinions and thoughts I want to tell you all about.

Equestria Girls Special: "Movie Magic" Review

Ok, I think it's time to post my next review blog on the recent Equestria Girls specials. Actually, the morning after I post my first blog review on "Dance Magic" [which you can read here], Dr Wolf uploaded his video review on Dance Magic too. I thought I would be competing with the good doc' to see who can get his opinion out first,

My Top 5 Most Underrated. · 1:06pm Apr 11th, 2015

If you know what I think of Friendship Is Magic (the show), then you should remember that I neither hate it nor like it. It's harmless, but I'm not a fan of it. If I can put it into my own word, I just don't care.

But because of it, every episode that I have seen I didn't think are bad. Trust me, I have seen a few episodes which bronies just raged about and yet it was like a "No Sell Punch" from Dragon Ball Z. In fact, some of these I actually do like.

And If I wrote anything that you don't like, there is nothing from stopping you from leaving. I also trying to do a few "Take Thats" at a couple of bronies so you can complain to me about that.

[/5. The Mysterious Mare Do-Wellb]- Honestly, I was tempted to not to include this because there were a couple of people who say that it isn't that bad. However, since it was declared thee worst episode (I don't know if that changed now?), I feel it best that I must about it.
One thing that people like to harp on this episode for is that the characters are out of character; Rainbow is too much of a bragger and a show-off and the rest of the Mane 6 is being mean to Rainbow Dash. I honestly believe everyone is still in their character, it just that people didn't like what they were doing. Rainbow have always been a bragger, before and after the episode. And then the Mane 6; they were trying to give Rainbow a taste of her own medicine. Rainbow needed to feel what she was making her friends feel by her bragging in order to learn her lesson. Like in the breezies episode, you some times have to do something mean in order to show that you love them.

[/4. Spike At Your Serviceb]- Some say that Spike never had a good episode until season 4. After watching this one, I would have to disagree.
Yes, Spike is an experienced helper and he shouldn't have been a clouts when he was trying to clean. However, he was only incompetent in half of the episode. In the other half, he: catch a run away balloon, clean a pig, staked a mountain of rocks and killed a giant timber-wolf. And even though he failed, he somehow managed to get down a bowl full of eggs he shouldn't reach. I also like Spike's betrayal. Even though he was happy to help, he never seemed so eager to help Twilight. Here, he was trying to do everything that he can to show how much her appreciate the person who saved him.

3. Feeling Pinkie Keen- Wow! People really hate this episode mostly because of the moral. What I think of it? Since this is on my list, no doubt will I say that it liked it.
I know that if you substitute the words, it like saying it's science vs religion and faith. People seem to think that it picking faith and superstition over science and logic and I disagree. At the end, they try to say that we need to be more open minded, choose what we believe in and trying to say that we need to be cautious on what we understand. Twilight wasn't being open minded and so she was being hit by karma because of it. I'm a guy who believes in creationism and evolution so I sort of feel like the moral was speaking to me.

2. Putting Your Hoof Down- This is on here probably because of the mysterious Mr Enter. The episode which Fluttershy was out of character and was a monster... and yet I found her completely relatable.
I had a simular experience to what happened to Fluttershy. I was bullied a lot in school and one day I thought being kind was getting me nowhere. When I start being cruel and mean, I notice that I was being bullied less often. Eventually, I let my pent-upped rage get to me and I did something similarly to what Fluttershy did to her friends. It was like looking into a mirror. However, I will allow anyone to hate this episode just because of that scene.

1. Rainbow Falls- This is thee most underrated episode in my opinion. So much so, I would put it in my top 10 best list (if only I know what the other 9 were).

From start to finish, I believe that I can do a good job defending this episode. Except it would just be defending because most of it, I have a hard time finding any good points. However, what redeem this episode and what would make me say that I like it is because of the ending. Rainbow Dash, after realizing what the Wonderbolts had done to their teammate and what she did to everyone, marches forwards to tell everyone the truth. She knows that if she tells them, they might not want to be her friend anymore. But she keeps marching regardless. And when she actually does tell them, her friends and teammates completely understands her and would even allow her to compete with her idols. And when Rainbow calls out said idols, they realized how much of a dick they were and respects Rainbow for that. I also really like it that Soren even sheers for Ponyvile. He was on another team and yet he still support another competitor. That has got my respect. I also like the moral: having fun with friends is more important then winning. That is a lesson that everyone is often to forget about.

Share to me your thoughts in the comments. Tell me your counterarguments or any other underrated episode you want me to talk about. I'm not a fan, so I think I have a balance perspective on everything. I hoped you enjoy and hoped you could understood my writing.

I'm actually glad to find someone else who likes "The Mysterious Mare Do Well" and "Rainbow Falls".
Heck, Rainbow Falls actually used to be my favorite Rainbow episode of the series, but it got knocked into second place because of how emotional "Tanks for the Memories" was (that and I love "I'll Fly").
