Effective Arguments in the Comment Section. Also, I Suck. · 6:42pm Apr 5th, 2015
Okay, first off, yeah, I suck at resolutions. I swear I will get both stories updated in the next two weeks. On to the real reason for this blog.
I've been noticing this a lot in comments everywhere. People seem to want to make an argument to defend their viewpoint, but fail and are written off because they drop cusses and derogatory phrases everywhere. I myself am not immune to it, either. Let me let you in on a little secret: the more big, fancy words you use (correctly, might I add,) in an argument, the more likely the other guy will listen to you. Instead of this:
Oh my gawd, Flash is a fucking faggot who can go suck a dick!
Try something like this:
Flash Sentry is not a well-rounded character. He draws upon many of the teenage male love interest cliches: Band leader, sleek car, good looks; but that's all he really has. He doesn't receive much development and is only really there for Twilight to have a crush.
Who do you think people will listen to: Person 1 or Person 2? Thought so.
