Whatever. Okay, so to all....... 21 of you, I think? That are following me, hi, I guess? I decided I wanted to say a thing, so blog. Maybe I'll decide to say more things later, maybe I won't. Maybe I'll die a most horrific death involving a traffic cone and a jug of cocaine. I'll let your minds decide where to go with that. But this is beside the point, most of you, I assume who decided to follow me, was probably due to the hilarious stupid comments I have posted, honestly I never expected anyone to really begin following me on this site. I've never had a following before. Just don't follow me into the bathroom, that's just weird...... Okay, yeah that was bad, might need to punish myself later for that. As for the rest, Imma guess you hopped on board due to my second story, "Lord Reference", I'll say something about it, but that's not the reason for this blog....... actually, yeah there is no reason for this blog........... But then again, there's no reason to life............
Fuck it. Moving on, really, I just wanted to talk about the beginning of season five, things I've noticed, and..... stuff. Stuffy-stuff. The stuff that... stuff is made of.... Am I trying too hard? I think I'm trying too hard.
Right, first two episodes. North Korea. I'm not going to say I'm the only one who drew this parallel. Because I'm not. Everyone's thought it, hell Kim Jong-Un probably watched it, while (Parents, cover your children's ears eyes) stroking his micro-chode at glorious best-Korea being emulated in an animated cartoon for little girls. Yeah, you like that, don't ya big boy?
I mean, the mane-styles made it pretty damn obvious.
And honestly I saw where the episode was gonna go, sure equality's great, but when everyone is the same, stagnant, nothing good's going to come from it. Unity with the combination of diverse elements is how nature works. It's how our world functions. Shit, mixed breeding of dogs make for a healthier dog. It's just how things do.
I mean, one can bring up how they might wish to live in a society like that, and that's fine, go ahead, do what makes you happy and shit, but the problem arises when you force it upon others, right? You can't just make a person like being the same, in fact, more often than not, we as individuals strive to be different, to set ourselves from the crowd, make ourselves feel special and unique. In an attempt to convince ourselves we really matter, when in the end, we don't.
......Okay, that got a little dark. And leads into the conversation of what value really is. Which I'm not gonna get into. Nope.
Anyways, aside from North Korean ponies, I found the episode humorous.... and a little lacking. Pink pone carried the humor for the whole episode, with Applejack catching my eye with her typical straight-man routine, aside from that, nothing too special, though, Twilight is getting taller though. Anywho, as for the episode not really grabbing my attention too much, I think that's due to the last episodes of season 4, I mean that DBZ shit was the shit!.... Wait.... Is it possible to hate yourself anymore than you thought was able, because I think I reached that point. Like, just now.
Right, so after that humongous fight with those pretty lights that probably gave several kids with epilepsy seizures. See, Japan? We can do it too. It just didn't hold as much impact, I guess, and honestly, part of me is worried that the mane 6 don't have as much room to grow as characters. Which worries me. Once a character has resolved their flaws, or has come as close as they believably can, they just don't have much of a story to tell, sure you can put them in a situation that would be interesting, but then we'd just have a perfect individual solving the problem. Which is Mary Sue territory, and Mary Sues are boring. I'm not saying that's going to happen, the mane six are diverse enough to keep things interesting, but perhaps an episode bringing more of their faults into the limelight would be cool. Bring in a bad guy who wants to be reformed, but don't make it as simple as Discord's forgiveness was, I mean, you've got all these characters to draw from, Chrysalis, Gilda, hell, I'd love to see a continuation of Trixie's story, and a feeling of distrust between the mane six (excluding Twilight, because that wouldn't make sense) and her. It would be great. But this is a kid's show, so I'm not too sure they'll delve too deeply into the matter.
I think I've gotten most of what I wanted to say out of my think-muscle. Oh! Uh, "Lord Reference" updates! Okay, I'm at about 963 words in the word document, so pretty much just setting things up there, it'll be in the present time of the story, and will be following one of the episodes.... sorta. I have things planned out on where I want them to go, and yeah, things will happen. There's going to be world building in the past sections and I'll probably switch between doing one or two present chapters and then delve into the past, which will have a more serious tone.
