Harmania

A bit of harmony, a lot of mania, on a foundation of existential thought, sprinkled with logic and innuendo... Damn it, now I'm thirsty.

Love is such a fun, abusable, lie of a word.

I'm not really a brony anymore, in the sense that, pony is cute, I like pony, but, I don't watch the show, have any desire to affiliate myself with the fandom as a whole, nor do I contribute to it. I'm still a writer--and write more than virtually nothing now, yay--but I write original fiction, not pony, these days.

I discovered my comfort zone in writing.

I mean, the lack of motivation is one thing, but most of what stops my progress is literally just writing half a paragraph and hitting a writer's block, and being dependent on constant dialogue for flow. Found a very noticeable exception to that... namely, writing in first person makes me less dependent on constant dialogue, and results in much higher writing quality. I also don't get constant,

Mostly talking literature here, there's a lot of tropes for them, and I do mean a lot, but there's one concept I do really, really love, but never really see. The idea that there's totally intelligent life out there, it's just that, the universe in and of itself, is so unfit for biological life that, regardless of intelligence, they all go extinct for one reason or another.

What I'm interested in seeing, is a story about finding alien life on other planets, or rather, the traces of life, puzzling over the remains of their cities, ships, and planets, while the inevitability of human extinction hangs overhead as a constant reminder of the futility of it all.

Or maybe it would be a nice story for a ponyfic. There's enough "Twilight becomes an astronaut" fics for it. What do you guys think? Know of any stories like that?

Hunh... Could be interesting. P'raps I'd try something like that with my story :moustache:

I just watched an episode of Vsauce that discussed the same exact thing. Good old Fermi paradox.

But no, "super awesum alien invasion" stories are just so much more exciting, aren't they? :ajbemused:
