Because right now I just feel useless.
My new story went up a few hours ago. I had a really good feeling, like this was gonna be my big break through and everything. Not win the EFNW writing contest, that is impossible, but ya know.
Now, it got 5 upvotes and 2 downvotes. I got 3 people who have comment. 2 positive (I think) and 1 negative (I think).
Those 2 downvotes hurt. Just a couple of months ago it wouldn't have mattered. But now, I thought I was over it. That my best works would get 1 downvote maximum, because that's hiw good they are.
But no, not this time.
So could you please just read and give an honest opinion. Bad or good? Thumb up or down?
the story is tagged for easy access. Otherwise it's named Catching the rainbow.
keam, you know there are always going to be people out there who don't like your stories, but then, there will always be people who do like your stories, or maybe even love them. But you have to know and understand that there are always going to be negative comments, downvotes and such of the like, and yes I know, sometimes it seems like the bad outweighs the good, but let me tell you something. Because there is less of it, that makes the good, so much more valuable, and special.
I once saw a video on YouTube, and it had over two million dislikes I believe. But you know how many likes it had? Over thirty million. Just because you receive negative comments, always think about what the positive comments like about your story, and take a little advice from the negative ones. Just don't let the negativity get to you.
There will also be those who post negative comments just because they can, and those who post negative comments because the story doesn't meet their individual standards. But pay no mind to them.
Everyone has their own writing style, and develop it with time. You're something special keam, don't you give up on your writing just because you don't think it's as good as it could've or should've been. With time, patience, and practice, you will continue to get better with your writing. Don't give up.

The long description was rough. I know English isn't your first language, so I'm not judging super harshly, but it's to the point that it is difficult to read. I kept wanting to laugh every time I came across the word "combinded."
I wish you could have let me take a look at it before you let it go live. There's just too much with the grammar to pull in more readers at this point.
As it is, I may be able to help out tonight or tomorrow (probably tomorrow). The whole "new story" thing has already happened, but as far as the long-term readers, we want to give them grade-A grammar to look forward to.
