Random Acts of Kindness · 12:35am Mar 13th, 2015
So this afternoon, my family went to Sangwich Block. It's a local sub/sandwich shop at the end of my street that has really good food. My family picked me up from my bus-stop, and we headed up there. My mom told me I didn't have to spend my own money. When we got up there, I got a BLT and soft drink, my mom and sister got a Cuban, and my step dad had a burger. Anyway, we just chatted and stuff, and quickly finished our meals.
After that, I realized I still had $16 left, and I wanted to buy a piece of cheesecake and save it for later (I LOVE cheesecake, and haven't had it in over a year). I went up to the counter and asked them for a slice to go. The lady smiled, went into the back room, and returned with the slice. I offered her my money, but she stopped and questioned me.
"So, is this for you and your family, or just you?"
"Umm... I don't know. I mean, I'd probably let them try it, but I wasn't exactly uh... planning on it."
"Oh... Well, how about I treat you?"
For a moment, I just kind of stared blankly. I didn't know what she meant, and it was confusing to hear.
"Share this with your family and I'll give it to you for free."
"Oh, okay. Thanks!"
She smiled and put the cheesecake in a paper bag and handed it to me. I thanked her again, and shortly after I left the store. I was really just warmed inside. Like, it makes me so happy to think a complete stranger would do something for me out of pure kindness. Why can't more people be sweet with no reward for them in return?
Later that night, my sister and I shared the treat while watching Amadeus. It was a really nice night, and it's put me in a really good mood.

That is so sweet If only more people were like her, maybe this world wouldn't be so messed up.
Your lucky to have run into that girl, not many can say that they've met a pure soul.
Tis a true shame that there are so few in the world nowadays.
Oh just hearing that story warms my heart. Not many people like that these days. Take that warm feeling and go and do something nice for someone else. Makes you feel even better. :)
that's so kind of her i'm glad to hear of more people like her.
