I can't even believe this · 9:27pm Mar 3rd, 2015
So, Dead/Light came out what, about seven months ago?
I just now, right fricking today, thanks to a comment from the good sir Kind of Brony, realized that I completely failed to mention that the explosion in which Twilight died took place in Canterlot.
I can't even.
I'm done, I need a nap or something.
I'll stop spamming blogs now.
lol nub
mmm donion rings..*drools*
It always sucks when you discover a mistake months after the fact.
still a good story though
I'd thought the explosion took place in Golden Oaks Library :v
Oh. So she blew up right in front of her family. Well, that alters the viewpoint a bit.

I actually went and changed a single word in chapter 3, to replace "her lab" with "that Canterlot university lab"
...yeah. Gotta love that sweet embarrassed retcon.

"the Canterlot University lab" :l capital 'u' in university if it's "the" Canterlot University, and not "a" Canterloty university in some poor section of Canterlot, with peeling walls and dripping ceilings.

Guuuuuh!
I fixed it again!
Thanks.
Panel four of my little shitdoodle is becoming more and more appropriate...

Basically she was in Canterlot for an experiment, because they have better facilities and stuff, and the thing she was working on exploded, collapsing the room and frying her brain. When they dug her out of the rubble, she was dead.
So, um... I guess it's been a while since I've read Dead/Light, or maybe I'm just stupid, but I can't figure out how this detail changes anything to the point where it'd be worth getting embarrassed over.

It's just that some people were confused as to how it was Shining who found her corpse in the rubble.
This just makes it a little more likely.
You do have a point that it's a silly concern, though.
