I've been simultaneously procrastinating on this blog post, and stuck on what to say. Part of me has been worried because I originally wanted Chapter 8 to go live on the story's birthday, and part of me has worried that making a post like this is too self-serving. But in the end, I can't help it, I need to say one simple thing:
Thank you.
It's a cliche, I know, but nothing I put in this text field can possibly thank any of you enough for the past year. On February 13, 2014, when I submitted the first chapters of WEcon, I never imagined that a year later I'd be staring at a desktop wallpaper that was fanart, or reading wonderful comments and feedback people have about this silly little fanfiction of mine. Each and every thing that's been said has brought me pure joy, with a potent mix of anxiety. I really do hope that I don't let any of y'all down, and I promise to you that I will do everything I can to make the next year of Wasteland Economics worth your time.
So thank you, each and every one of you that even glanced at my story, for making me the happiest doctorate of pork studies that ever did live.
Man, I haven't been here for that whole year, but it's been a helluva ride. It's promising to be a very eventful year all around, and here's looking forward to it! Also, you're totally allowed to gush in your own journal, man. Anyone who says otherwise is kind of an asshole.
