A perfectly justified question and a complicated answer. As a short answer, Chapter 16 has been delayed by a huge project that Pipistrelle had to take on for work. I've actually seen how much of her time it's been demanding of her, and seen her work through most weekends for the past several months. Perhaps I could have tried to release Chapter 16 in a state without her going through the second pass, but honestly I put a great deal of stock on what PromptAnon and Pipistrelle both do to improve my writing, and I guarantee you that WEcon would not be anywhere close to the state it is in now without them.
So the good/bad news is that Chapter 16 is still not quite ready for primetime. When I talked to Pip yesterday, she was relieved that the work project that had consumed her time is finally winding down, and will likely finish in the next week or two. So that's the timeline I'm looking at for how much longer Chapter 16 will have to sit on the shelf.
All that said, I have not been idle in the interim. Seeing as I realized this would be an extended downtime, I've been working on Chapter 17, prepping that to go into the editing queue after Chapter 16, and while I haven't been as diligent as I'd like on the draft of 17, I can confidently say that I will have the draft of Chapter 17 ready to edit by the time Chapter 16 is released, and I'll likely have started on Chapter 18 by that point.
I have to sincerely apologize to everyone for how much of a mess this year has been to WEcon thus far, but we're finally looking to get back on track. Thank you all for your patience!
So more or less in a few days chapter 16 will be posted?
