Life happens. Glad to see you're still at the grind.
Don't worry about it.
Honestly, think about it from the user's perspective. While updating the story has (supposedly) been nibbled on your mind over and over again, the average user just goes about their day, barely noticing that any of his currently followed stories haven't been updated.
It's a delight to see updates and often goes completely unnoticed when there aren't any. Don't feel like users come on everyday to only be dissapointed when their's no updates. Besides, we're getting all this for free. We don't expect chapters to always roll out.
So, write when you're free and when you feel like it. You don't owe your readers anything. It's great to see that you still care about them and do write, but don't beat yourself up when you have dryspells.
