Y'know, I'm an avid supporter of the personality being why I follow, as stories don't trend with authors to me so much as the authors themselves. The reason I usually unfollow is because I was mistaken about the user, that their focus is too much on nothing but stories and blog posts typically consist of them promising an update (which is fine, but why?).

No, I followed you because I think you seem like a decent guy. You seem cool, definitely cool enough that I want to hear what you have to say. I'm kind of a fan of hearing cool people say things (or reading, as it were).
Seriously, though, consider why people are complaining in the first place. Don't immediately leap to the conclusion of, "They're just trying to make me out to be a bad guy." Think about their feedback, why they're taking their time to even formulate an opinion in words (like here), and, if they're doing it
Then ask yourself, "What is characteristic of me that's even worth assassinating?" Playing the victim isn't buying you any favors.
It takes a lot for me to unfollow, but you're kind of forcing my hand here.
I still think you're cool, but you've gotta figure a better way to put up with haterz. I get that their comments in the thread devolved into thinly veiled user attacks (which are against the rules, hence you should just report the users so they don't come back), but

Just put the bloody story back up. No one is worried about a rage review or a deleted comment in the greater scheme of things. Taking it down was an overreaction, and one that you can make up for by doing right by your followers and giving them what you made for them.

No one wants to be wrong. Most of us, if confronted with a hostile opinion on our writing, will be defensive, to the point of being a jerk. Even pleasant or constructive critique can be a tough pill to swallow at times.
I don't judge someone exclusively on their reactions. There's more to it than that, always.
You see, i never unfollow people (its a problem i know) becuase i have a weird thing called, wanting to know eveything. so if regidar turned into a giant dick, i would still follow him just to hear what he says so that i have a good sourcing for any hate i DO end up speaking. but alas i dont know this moth fellow so im going to stay nuetral and keep an ear to the devil and to the gods of fimfic, cause i hate besmitching peoples name, and honestly, i hope this all blows over and we dont have another fimfic drama war!
