I hope that when the world comes to an end, I can breathe a sigh of relief, because there will be so much to look forward to.

    A Year in (Movie) Review

Peppered throughout my stories are various references to films and movies, as I'm sure several of you guys noticed (A Dare's Truth has several ponified versions of movies, and Scootaloo and The Cabinet of Seers has a few references as well). I love movies - I go once, sometimes twice, a week to the local theater to see a new movie! It's gotten to the point where the Tuesday staffer recognizes me

The True Gift of Gifting (PS4 game giveaway)

    Happy December, everyone!

Recently, during some impulsive electrical repairs, a member of the family accidentally damaged my Playstation 4's power supply to the point where the console could only communicate via the slow steady pulsing blue light of death.

    Bronycon 2019

Well, like thousands of folks here, I will be attending Bronycon this year!

I had hoped to get a new chapter of Scoots and the Cab out to celebrate but it wasn't meant to be.

There are plenty of fanfiction panels at the convention, maybe I can learn a thing or two about timely writing and technique.

Fragments of fiction, and the validity of non-canon stories.

So, like many fans of the orange winged wonder, today was a momentous episode for Scootaloo. I teared up at a few moments, and although the episode was predictable, it was a feel-good episode that reaffirms just how special the Crusaders truly are.

    On Videogames and motivation

I'm reaching a tipping point with these videogames. I quite enjoy them, yes, and there is a massive disparity between the multitudes of games to play and the time available to play them. That's nothing new though; always has been, always will be.

All Apologies · 2:18am Feb 14th, 2015

Hey everyone,

I've spent the last month and a half or so recovering from my injuries. I'm back in my abode, with access to my computer, movies, games, and music again. Ironically, for my favorite pony being Scootaloo, my current mode of transport is a knee scooter!

After continuing to chip away at Scootaloo & The Cabinet of Seers, it's becoming increasingly clear that -

a) I have no idea what I'm doing
b) My reach exceeds my grasp

I think that the concept for the story is perhaps a bit too lofty for a freshman effort. I want to thank everyone who is still reading the story for continuing to stick with it and show their support through comments (especially NobleValor, Kenshinryu, and the others who've been following since the beginning). I deeply apologize for readers who entered the story expecting the story as it was described, and finding instead a melancholy melodrama of a filly scorned by abandonment, loneliness, and longing. My ideal is to follow a sort of Robert Zemeckis (Director of Back To The Future) and Richard Kelly (Director of Donnie Darko) approach to storytelling, where everything that is presented towards the beginning has an impact on the conclusion - every frame matters.

Perhaps my friend and pre-reader RaylanKrios can back me up on this, but virtually the entire plot of the story has been outlined - and the story described IS included. It just needs to be written, and given the events in my life that have happened as of late, and what will eventually come to pass as a result, it's taken a lot longer than I anticipated. The next chapter is going to be the next thing I put out, to help assuage doubts concerning the story's direction.

In other news relating to my stories, The Play's The Thing has one more chapter to go before it's finished, the first scrap of which has already been written. I haven't abandoned or forgotten about Blooming Backwards, either, but I'm tweaking the execution to keep the portrayal as realistic as can be managed for the type of story it is without being too "on-the-nose."

Thanks for reading, everyone, and thanks again for your continued support.

With regards, HMXTaylorLee.

Scootaloo & The Cabinet of Seers is just building up to a awesome climax. I love the story Seers or no Seers, the relationships thus far are interesting.

As for The Play's the Thing, :pinkiegasp:MORE:pinkiegasp: Why? Because I'm a sucker for romance, especially Scootabelle—if you haven't noticed—and stories within stories. So Triple threat.

I feel obliged to quote Kipling: a man's reach should exceed his grasp, else what's heaven for"

Scoots and the cab is great, that is all I need to say about it.

Scoots is best pony. This story is currently my favorite Scootaloo story on this site. I don't even mind that the seers haven't made their appearance yet. I've gotten plenty of entertainment from every chapter so far.

I'm glad you're feeling better. I love how you write Scootaloo. Keep going with this gem.

PS: I love The Play's the Thing

PPS: Raylan, Three Gems and a Scooter is great so far.

The story will come when it comes. I get it. (Although now I'm curious about 'The Play's the Thing.' Shall be having a look at it come the first opportunity.)

You will never grow if you only make stories that do not challenge you. I thought Monster was going to be the death of me, but I made it. Keep going. (Well, heal up first. It's darned difficult to type with your nose.)

Thank you all for your support. Knowing that at least ONE person likes the story makes writing it worthwhile. As much as I'd like to say that "writing for writing's sake" is my goal, I can't deny that validation and affirmation aren't integral for me to write. I'd feel hugely disappointed (and even more unmotivated), as I'm sure most authors would if they wrote a near 60,000 page story that went unnoticed, if it weren't for you guys and your praises. So really, thank you guys, so so much!

RaylanKrios, I gotta give you a shout out, because a lot of the story was made much cleaner thanks to your endeavors. For you guys reading, the method by which Scootaloo faked her adoption was spurred by Raylan's suggestion to flesh out the execution.

Mystic, putting my story on a pedestal when there are so many wonderful Scootaloo stories out there is really, really, flattering.

Twi-Fi, I'm really happy that you like Play's as much as you do. Although I consider "Scoots & The Cab" a magnum opus of sorts, I feel like Play's is a better written piece overall. Another individual that reviewed the story noted the chapter titles, and felt that the story had much more mileage than the "Three Act Structure" of the chapters implied and wanted to see more of it. I'm just not sure how to extend it!

Noble, I hope that you enjoy the story!

2798267 Well, I have to admit I'm writing a chapter in Letters right now that will just tear the beating heart out of the readers and it may have been subconciously influenced by your writing. (I love the way you represent Scoots.)
