Contest project, day twelve: My friends, I need advice from you. · 4:03am Feb 13th, 2015

Okay, first of all, direct to today's progress:

New name for the fiction: My Deadly Shot: Trixie is Lethal

New short description:

What drives a fairly innocent showmare to become a borderline sociopath for hire? And what drives a borderline sociopath hire to actually do the right thing?

New long description:

Trixie is a hitmare, a sniper. Way behind her are the days of the magician extraordinaire, but since the "ursa thing" she could't get any money from a performance, so she took the next thing she was the best at; hitting a target with anything.

It's not an easy life, but since there's allays someone wanting a bullet in someone's skull, it pays the bills. Of course, you have to be careful, not only when taking a hit, but also in every other moment. Being a mercenary is not Celestia's or Luna's favorite job, so you have two radars you would like to avoid and, of course, being a hired gun is a good way to have at least some guys vowing to have your head.

It would be impossible if it wasn't for Trixie's as under her sleeve; nobody know who she is.
Taking the codename "Deadshot" and never showing face or skin to anyone while working, nothing can catch up Trixie... except her past.

No name for the first chapter. Provisional name: Bullets
New password: boom_headshot

Now, my friends, I'm in a debate here. Come closer, please.

I'm in the middle of an impasse. I got these two possible first job for Trixie to complete her 'origins chapter' and I can't decide on which one to use. The first one is mostly of my own hand mixed with some aesthetics from right from Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. The second one is closer to the comics but still with modifications to keep it original and a shout-out to Ford Coppola's The Godfather.

Which one do you like more? Let me know so I may decide which one use.

The 2nd one............. Also never forget the meaning of life

hmm both are pretty interestings:applejackunsure:
the first one would shows her how she discovered the dark side of the city, killing for Pinguin,
tryin to get the perfect life, with so much money that she doesn't even know where to use it.
until she discover what she's doing. destroying lifes.
searching for Redemption, she try to use all her knowledge she got while working for Pinguin
and her skills to put an end to it.

the second one is more of a ...Spider-man side to me (except for the killing part)
She discover her new talent, and use it to become the vigilante, Las Pegasus needs.
she only got her skills to help her and a lot of ammo.
though not anyone is pleased by Deadshot's perfect shots.

for my part i liked a bit more the first one

A Schwarzenegger, his legacy of violence and catchphrases will never die.

Well, I put more original thinking over the first one, while the second is more of a exercise of adaptation.

I think the optimal thing to do would be mash-up elements from both, but since the deadline is over my a**, I'll have to decide...
Okay, the first one...
No! The second one has a nod to The Godfather!...
But! The first one could pretty much be a story of Pulp Fiction!...
Although the second one is closer to the Deadshot character... aaaand the first one is more character driven with Trixie as a focal point.

Ugh, this is gonna be a long night.

Got to say, go with the second option. Best for her to be totally freelance. If she takes the job from someone that big, they're going to see it as her owing them for getting her started. Overall, loving where this is going!

You know, that's actually a very good argument. The plotpoint here is that Trixie is not a samurai, but a ronin; no bound or loyalties, only her and whoever is paying. Thanks dude.
