Name: Seraphim Glare
Backstory: (Here's where it all falls down.) Glare is known as "The First Alicorn King" and for good reason.
A fanatic obsessed with stamping out darkness. Anything from a pleasant night to a cool shade. Leaving nothing behind but blinding oppressive light.
When his youngest daughter began displaying a desire to bring about Darkness every few hours, he turned... Aggressive. She had to be dealt with with a firm hoof.
Over his dead body would Luna become a creature of darkness.
After seeing the cruelty displayed to her sister, Celestia turned on her father. With the help of three compatriots. Glare's general Forward March, his court Mage Star Swirl, and his wife Clover.
Heartbroken at his eldest daughter's betrayal, Glare set out to destroy those who turned her against him.
Step 1 was abdicating the throne to Forward March. Giving him a significant amount of his own power, allowing him to transform into an Alicorn.
Clover the Clever committed suicide, after building a magic mirror for an unknown client.
Forward March was twisted physically and mentally by his power. Transforming him into an embodiment of chaos itself.
And he had something special waiting for Star Swirl.
When Star Swirl's son, Sombra, tracked his mother's Mirror to a place called the Crystal Empire.
And he found Glare waiting for him.
Glare explained that he was the client that ordered the mirror. It was an apparatus used to help him spread his light. He also told Sombra that he had a chance to seal him away, right then and there.
He would just have to turn the Empire black. That Darkness would hurt him. But to achieve it...
Glare posed a simple question to Sombra.
Are you willing to become a tyrant?
To seal Glare away? Unfortunately the answer was yes.
Star had lost everything. His wife. His son. And his best friend.
Old and bitter, Star made a prophesy.
Glare would be back. And as Celestia had six, Glare would bring six of his own.
And now it looks like the prophesy is coming true.
