I hate winter · 4:50am Feb 2nd, 2015
When I was a kid, Illinois winters were great. Now it's just a pain in my ass as I lay in bed trying to sleep with a plugged up nose and possibly strep throat. Today alone it went from snowing at 7 a.m., to raining at noon, and now back to snow for tonight. Good news is I managed to get some more writing done today and nearly finished the new chapter of The Jolly Rogers.
oh, so you're from the lovely state i call Hell eh? Born and riased in Madison County and still a shithole, pardon my french. I wish i stayed in Hawaii back in Decmber and i may in the future move out to Gettysburg

Madison County huh? I'm from the shit-tastic Northern Macoupin County. Grew up in the biggest meth town in the area and a month ago moved to one of the most agricultural town around.
2819384 Ah! Then you're not that far from me then. I live on ther other end of Bunker Hill near Alton. Though i live in the country. Moro Township or i should say Fort Russel Township. Meadowbrook. For years i lived in a house with little room or a basement and now i have a house with 6 rooms and lots of land in my eyes anyway

I can't say I remember ever going to Bunker Hill. I do drive through Alton though on the way to the airport across the river from Grafton. The country around there is beautiful; especially during fall.
2819489 We can both agree the area around here is lovely but i tend to avoid most of Alton, mainly around McPike Mansion and the bluffs. nothing but crazies up there when night falls. i prefer the area around Bethalto and Doresy myself

I don't really have much time to stop and get to know Alton. Honestly I don't care much for any town with more than 5,000 people (even the town I gee up in was only 4,000). Just too many people in my opinion.
2819523 agreed. my town has less than a 1,000 i think
2819588
The town we almost moved to in Fulton County only has about 450 people. But we ended up staying in Macoupin for some reason.
2819653 I've been through on business, small town for sure
2819654
Not like towns around here are much better than up there though. I'd rather be around a bunch of drunks in a very tiny town than the meth heads around here.
2819672 you could also try my town of Meadowbrook. Nothing ever happens around here. Everyone more or less knows each other and me...well let's just say the whole town knows my name real well due to some news back in August of 2013...

I'm known around my area for buzzing towns when my flight instructor lets me solo. According to two different police departments it's "dangerous and frightening to residents". What is it you are known for if I may ask?
2819709 Why, this bit of news! never in a million years would i have thought it would happen http://fox2now.com/2013/08/29/416235/

Now that I saw the article I remember seeing that on the TV too. Must be nice to get that every week. Although I'm sure the government takes at least half.
2819781 Nah, took a lump sum payout instead. Invested in the stock market and i'm set for life

Brilliant idea. If anyone in my family won that kind of money they'd never stop spending. Sad thing is about the only people who know how to budget money in my family is myself and my dad.
2819821 Sad but true. But with that moeny it dragged my family out of hell's half arce ( and i do mean half arce) and now we won't have to worry about anything anymore
2819827
At least you used it to help your family. Sadly I know people who would snub their family if they had any money to help.
2819856 a shame really. i even try to help others from time to time
2819880
It's always a good feeling to help others. I'm also a big believer in karma so I try to help others as often as I can.
2819885 Same here. Though with all i have to do anymore it's hard to keep track
