    Currently away

Hey, this is ErraticOverlord's friend. He wanted me to send out this blog post because he broke his arm while doing something stupid, so he's at the hospital and away from a computer.

    URGH SICKNESS

I've been completely flat on my back sick for the last several days, so I haven't been able to finish the next chapter of SMU and me, yet. You can expect it in the next few days, but I'm really sorry I haven't been able to do it.

    It's Wednesday!

And that means an update! On Just SMU and me.

I'm going to put the chapter up a bit later today because I woke up very sick, but I'll be darned in lead socks before I give up on updating every Wednesday one week after I gave the proclamation I would.

Just be warned that the last bit of the chapter might be completely nonsensical, so you should tell me if that happens.

    Bringing you up to speed

So some of you may have noticed my sudden disappearance, followed by prolonged absence. The short version of this is that I had quite a lot of things to do and, when they were finished, suffered from horrible writer's block, partly brought on by my complete disappointment in trying to watch the fourth season.

Wisdom Teeth are awful · 4:39pm Jan 31st, 2015

Hello, everyone. I am so sorry I haven't been on for a while. School got in the way and now I've just gotten my wisdom teeth removed so I'm in SO MUCH PAIN.

Don't worry, I've got pain medication but I could barely move yesterday.

I hope to post the Guessing Games Q&A sometime later today and possibly a teaser for the sequel. :trixieshiftright:

Until then,
~Your Erratic Overlord

:fluttercry: I know how that feels. I had to have all four of my pre-molars taken out before I could have braces put in to straighten my teeth. It took two appointments taking out the teeth from one side each time. I'd never even had a filling before. Worst part had to be the unnecessarily massive needle the dentist used. 'You're not putting that in my mouth are you?':rainbowderp: And even better, the teeth didn't plan to come quietly, to this day I remember having the assistant hold my head down, whilst the dentist heaved away at my teeth with a pair of pliers. After that it was simply a matter of dribbling blood for about three hours.

Still, at least I had sense to go private. The NHS dentist down my way is an Iraqi guy, known as 'The Butcher of Baghdad'. :twilightoops:

How come you had your wisdom teeth out anyway?

Oh jeez. Wisdom teeth. I'm lucky in that I seem to have absolutely no resistance to pain medication in the least, probably because I rarely use it, and when I had mine removed I was simply out of it, but even then not for long. That said, though, it makes a lot more sense why you couldn't come to DnD. It's not just like a root canal or something, it's major dental surgery.

Also, if the pain medication really isn't working anywhere near as well as it should for you, maybe next time you're there ask what they gave you before and try to get a different one? Under optimal circumstances (pfffheehehe, optimal) you shouldn't be so wracked with pain you can't move. That sounds like that pain medication just flat doesn't work for you.

2759835 Yikes, Butcher of Baghdad?

I had to have my wisdom teeth out because they were going to come in impacted and mess up my braces, both of which were unacceptable.

2759857 Yeah I might have to go with another medication. It works it just wears off too quickly and doesn't start quickly enough. :twilightoops:

Thanks for the support, guys.

2759985 Similar problem to me then. I needed braces to straighten my teeth out, but my mouth wasn't large enough to accommodate all my adult teeth if they were straightened, so they were removed all four premolars before the braces were applied. Worth it in the end. When they took the braces off, the orthodontist showed me some before and after pics; my mouth was a goddamn mess.

Also pro-tip for when the braces come off - your teeth will feel really large in your mouth. And for the love of God, wear your retainers.

2760028 Haha, thanks. I'll remember that.
