Hey listen, I need your guy's opinion if you have a moment. · 8:57pm Jan 30th, 2015
So I have noticed these past few months that it takes me a month to get out a chapter of Road to Twilight. Now a lot of that has to do with a busy schedule but lately it has to do with something on top of that. Something I didn't think I would ever really run into and if I did I figured I could work my way through it, but that doesn't seem to work right now. That being that I feel like I am on the edge of a burnout.
Now I really hate to say that, especially since I love this story and I want to keep updating as much as possible but I just can't seem to sit down and type like I used to.
So I have come to you all with two ideas.
One is that I continue to work and update in hopes that I work through this and don't completely come to a grinding halt. After all, its said that stuff in motion tends to stay in motion.
The other is that I go on hiatus for a few months. During that time I will be releasing short stories I have had on the back burners for a long time now but was unable to work on due to trying to get a new chapter of RtT written each month. .
I wish I could do both. Write for Road to Twilight and write some of these fun short stories that have been bouncing inside my head for some time now. But my schedule is still busy and I just can't seem to get my writing drive going like I used to. This most likely being caused by near burnout.
So I want to get your opinion. Should I continue doing what I have been doing and hope for the best, or take a break and work on other stuff for awhile?
(If you guys do decide on the hiatus I will try to finish the current world at least. I hate cliffhangers as much you people do.)
you've given us quite a bit of your time already with this one story so if you need a break I think you should take it. So long as you keep writing something you will eventually meander your way back, and may even think of ways you could make this story better.
I have no complaints if you took a break from Road to Twilight to write other stories.
While i would prefer Road to Twilight to be continued, I think you would like to focus on those ideas from the back burns. Just don't go longer than a six month haitus. That would be sad.
2759120 If I start now, it'll only be for about three months. I was going to try and finish up a chapter today but found myself still unable to keep at it. But I should have a short story out in a few weeks. Maybe you'll enjoy that as much as Road to Twilight?
I will still try to update at least once before I go on hiatus, I can at least promise that.
2759269 Thanks for that promise about an update as well as you saying the haitus will be about 3 months. Good luck. I hope these short stories are as a good read as Road to Twilight.
I say you should take a break I am willing to wait for more chapters on Road to Twilight
Who is the pony in shadows in the picture of Road to Twilight?
Twilight's first mentor. Also a driving force for her development later on.
