"Wh-," I turned to face him to see that his fingers were beginning to recede into his hand. I spoke too soon; Murphy's law you son of a whore!

Quickly getting to my feet, I managed to take one step before falling flat on my face, smacking my head against the wall hard. Disoriented, I looked back and clearly saw a pair of black hooves sticking out of my jeans instead of feet!
