Princess Twilight and friends advanced towards the rocky outcrop where Goldstein and two of his bodyguards stood.
"Are you Goldstein, leader of the Brotherhood?" Twilight asked.
"I am." He replied.
Twilight unfurled a scroll.
"*Ahem*. On the order of Princess Celestia, the Brotherhood is to disband and face trial for their rabble-rousing, rioting, and scaring of the public. Those who comply will be treated fairly and justly."
Twilight smirked, certain that they would comply. Goldstein simply gave her a stony gaze.
"Let us speak truthfully to one another." Goldstein said. "Arresting us is nothing more than an attempt to please your teacher and dictator, benevolent as she is. You misunderstand my goals. I do not wish to bring about anarchy nor do I wish to take power for myself. I simply wish for change, for which this world is sorely overdue. Celestia wants to protect this world but she doesn't want it to change. The world has outgrown her, but she refuses to believe it. She is still treating us like puppets, proven by sending the six of you to destroy another crisis instead of handling it herself. You're a blind fool, Twilight Sparkle, thinking that your teacher knows the best for you and is without sin? What have you done to earn your rank? What have you done with it? How many times could you have died? How many times could your friends have died? How many times has Celestia used you as her private task force to eliminate threats to the country she swore to rule? You're all puppets, strangled by the strings of the status quo!"
"I've heard enough from this loon." Rainbow Dash snarled. She shot up to the cliff and tackled Goldstein.
"Listen good, Grandpa!" She snarled. "I don't care about your conspiracy theories, but you start badmouthing my friends and the princess, well, them's fighting words!"
"And so, the Element of Loyalty attacks a defenseless old man." Goldstein gurgled.
"Geez! Get off him!" One of Goldstein's bodyguards yelled as the two wrestled Dash off and threw her off the cliff.
Goldstein crawled over to the edge and gazed down on the Mane 6, blood slowly trickling from his mouth.
"Look, I know a lot of ponies didn't approve of my ascension," Twilight said. "But nothing's changed at all and you're just complaining because you think things are so much better when you..."
"Enough!" Goldstein barked. "I don't want to hear it. I've had my say and now must have my injuries looked at. You may think we complain for no reason, but if you actually listened, you might be surprised at what we have to say."
With that, Goldstein encompassed him and his bodyguards in a magical dome and teleported away.
