Interesting alternate history for the early years of Equestria. Did like that the batponies were exiled for trying to bring about eternal night long before Princess Luna did. It hints that there is some other force that is trying to manipulate things to drag the world into darkness. The star spirits from Fallout Equestria perhaps. This was a decent story with too many typos, lots of misspelled words, missing letters, or the wrong word being used. The author has decent skill at storytelling, but seriously needs a qualified proofreader before uploading his work.
Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons

Go read the full review if you want. Basically, it's much too long and desperately needs to first, be finished and then second, a ruthless editor to chop off about 2/3rds of it. However, it's got really cool concepts, I like most of the characters, and I do want to know how it all ends. Even if it pretty much takes the worst most disgusting/gory elements of the original Fo:E and turns them up to 11. Still, if you don't mind the ultra-violence and the almost mind-numbing meandering length (and I say that from having liked the wandering around in the original Fo:E), there is a good story under it all.

This was fun. Really wish there was more Lunaverse stories to read. Can’t wait until more of the season 2 stories are finished up and I can dive right back into them. Was such a refreshing change from the long (really, really, really long) story I just gave up. This was paced briskly, had plenty of humor, and had both ongoing character development and well-done flashback sections. Lunaverse Cheerilee is still one of my favorite MLP characters, and this just reinforces that.
The Wind Thief by Cold in Gardez

This is a cut-down version, but has pretty much all I had to say about the story in it.
This author remains one of my favorites. He is a good writer who has succeeded at comedy, adventure, drama, and several other genres of story. This story is a cross of My Little Pony and Skyrim, and he pulls it off very well. Not a extension of MLP like Fallout Equestria was, but more of telling a Skyrim story using the kingdom of Equestria and some MLP characters. It is a very nice blending of both source materials, with the themes of MLP and the atmosphere of Skyrim. The author is working on a sequel that I hope gets finished sometime soon.
(Spoiler: No, the sequel isn't done yet) I've read this story several times and it's gotten me wanting to play Skyrim each time. Twice actually reinstalling the game (which is a hours-long process given all the mods I play with) and spending at least a few days adventuring around.
The Lantern by Cold in Gardez

This was pretty good, but not really my thing. This is probably on the lower end of the quality for this author. Decent, but not a read again. Was avoiding this one for a while because I haven’t really been in the mood for a horror story, but this was really tame and turned out to not be worth the avoidance/build-up.
As always, The Big Master Review List is here: { THE MASTER LIST }
If you know of a text-format reviewer I'm not keeping track of, please let me know and I'll see if they meet the criteria to be assimilated into the list.
If you are an author who wants a more detailed review of a story I've covered feel free to message me. My reviews tend to be fairly light, mostly just reactions to a story right after reading it. I am happy to give a more careful read and reply to anyone who wants more precision and/or feedback. It might take a while, as more precision means I need to actually think about things instead of just doing stream of consciousness typing.
