That awkward moment... · 6:58pm Jan 2nd, 2015

...when the chapter that took you six months to write and God knows how many hours of reading to get the characters in character has only three commentators so far.

In the first place, I'm not complaining, just pointing it out. At least the comments are interesting enough, but. What I'm trying to say is that I didn't saw it coming. Also, I'm not driven by the desire of getting a comment just for the sake of getting a comment, but my curiosity is literally burning my skull on what does readers think when they read what I write.

In the second place, I'm not asking my followers who didn't read TCB:JD to do so I can get a praise comment. I thank your support but I don't want you guys to feel forced to do something. This rant of blogpost is more directed to The Conversion Bureau: Judgement Day's reader's who waited six months for an update and now they seem uncharacteristically silent.

Look, I'm not a stranger to the cold slap of indifference, most of my stories don't get many comments. But that wasn't the case of Judgement Day. Alongside with Stay and (maybe) Show MUST Go On! it was my breakout fic. In fact, is the most read one by the moment of this blog post and basically the only one that towers over Stay's popularity.

Let me explain you something, all of my fics have a special place in my heart. My crossover-trinity, my mecha-fics, the sad Stay and Show MUST Go On!, heck, even my fail-fic The princess and the soldier means something important to me. In The Conversion Bureau: Judgement Day's case, I always felt that it's my mega-project, my Last Supply, my Interstellar if you want.

So, in other words, I REALLY want to know what is the impression left by a piece of work that took six months to see the light. Is that too much to ask?

Please?

Fimfiction has been a bit empty as of late, my feed only gets about 5 posts/hour.
There were times in which I would just go to get a soda from thw fridge and return, only to see 15 more posts on the feed.
Perhaps this is just because of the new year's eve and we are here only those few people that do not have anything else to do.

Provably, but is still groin kicking painful to get too little reaction after all taht work.

Relax, once this new year's stuff is over, people will look at it.

I know the feeling, sadly. The stuff you care a lot about gets ignored, while drekwork (your own or others) get all kinds of attention.

Still, all we can do is soldier on and work at our next story, and hope it'll at least make some readers smile.

And yeah, like 2696154 says, the place's been slow lately.

Oh well, play team Fortress till I got more comments then.

Yeah, Ill follow that advice. After the big hiatus I got a lot to catch up. Thanks for the understanding.

I feel the pain. Sometimes I think its just that I take so long to update people just move onto another story until they notice I added another chapter. Then they'll read it and not leave a comment. I think, was it not good enough to leave a comment or have I lost their interest?

Yeah, In my case is curiosity what doesn't let me rest.

Yeah, I think I understand. Not accepting it, mind you, since I got a sort vow to never leave a chapter I read without commenting (still reading the new on Regeneration, just wait), but I can understand it.

And yeah, most of the responsibility is on me for not updating more frequently, but since TCB is a thought genre, I take my time with this one (characterization, narrative, plot), so I don't screw it up.

Thanks for the support pal.
