Why do I care? When I read fanfiction, what is the trigger that makes me go from 'Eh, I don't have time from this' to 'Huh, I might check this out' to 'I am looking forward to the next update!' Usually, my point of investment is the point when I have a question I want to answer, or an expectation of something I already know I like.
I've been binge-reading (listening to) days and days worth of Fallout Equestria fanfiction since August, and had read a Fallout Equestria and a couple side-stories well before the binge. I thought I'd make a list of which ones I've read, which ones I've liked the most, and what I think of the ones I've read thusfar in general.
The 'Featured Box' I see so many fanfic authors mention is that big box on the front page without any label, right? It's always puzzled me. The contents don't seem to update on any particular schedule, and unlike 80% of the other elements on the front page, there's nothing to explain what the box is for. It's just BAM have some story titles and summaries!
Get well soon.
