I have received so many messages about the Waking Up in Equestra story that I wanted to thank everyone.
Other than a couple people who aren't happy with the sexually themed episodes that have happened (either because they aren't happening quickly enough or that they are happening at all), the most oft suggestion or comment I get is about the size of the ponies and how I've described them a bit larger than they actually are in the series.
I actually made them a bit larger out of convenience because I couldn't figure out how to navigate a human realistically in a world that was scaled down to that size. I felt I needed to make the scale of Equestra bigger to allow the MC to interact in a relatively normal way with structures and objects. Everyday things like a bench or a chair scaled to a 3ft pony vs a 4.5 or 5ft pony would make it unusable for a human, don't you think? I was concerned that I would spend more time explaining how the MC navigated and used the world around him rather than moving the story along.
Anyways, I took creative liberty there and for those who it creates a distraction, I apologize.
But overwhelmingly people have been supportive and excited for each chapter and I want to thank you all for that. I've never written or shared anything in this manner and I am surprised and humbled at the reaction it has gotten so far. I didn't start out with this big of a story in mind, but it's turned into one and I'm going to keep at it until it tells me it's finished.
Well, you've got a lot of potential, and the ever increase in quality of every chapter is testament to that. You still have a ways to go, but I'm confident you'll be great. Just don't give up. Also, remember, if you want someone to preread or an adviser, I'm always willing to help.
