How are there only eight stories tagged with both Trixie and Cheese Sandwich? And how are none of them romances between the two?
I mean, honestly. If you're going to write fics about implausible romances and characters who shouldn't know each other, why not the itinerant performers? Maybe they met in line while restocking their supplies of fireworks and flash paper, or while getting their explosive clockwork contraptions serviced. Ooh! Or while getting their cape and poncho mended!
Heck, they could both belong to the "Traveling Performers of Equestria Union" and know Flim & Flam and Iron Will as well.
Considering some of the other pairs I've seen around, I'm a little disappointed is all.

It sounds like you have a plot brewing in your head.
I believe that there are just so many possible characters to crack ship Cheese Sandwich with, people just don't write it. And he falls into the
'positive' guest character category, and it's rarer to put a negative guest character and a positive one together. If he was an evil party pony, I guarantee you there'd be many, many more fics like that. Plus he's a relatively new character.
