    Holding My Hat Out

For those followers, young and old, I bid you welcome. Sorry for this blog post as it's mostly asking for money.

I've republished an old fiction of mine that had been deleted years ago. this time I decided to give it an editing pass, some rewriting, and help from a friend; Silver Scroll.

    Well now...

Now that I've been so rudely had my morale boosted from having a story in the featured box, and have done my 9 hours of work, I suppose it's time to start responding to all these comments.

    Still Alive

Just wanted to put myself out there and to tell people, I'm still participating in fiction. Even some non fiction work such as reviews and the like. The thing is, the past two years or so have been eventful, but in sometimes subtle ways. For the longest time I thought my internal battles to be useless effort from someone who cannot even manage a single task without aggrandising episodes of self

    Hello out there!

Is there anybody here that still believes me alive? Please let yourself be known! I would love to talk to you!
I do have some stories in the works, but I have honestly no feedback from the people that follow me (all 29 of you).
Be it questions, concerns, or anything. Please do not be shy.

    A co-opted fiction involving Scootaloo!

Those who loved Blue Trimmed Icarus, I'm tagging this post for a reason!

I've written a fiction along side a very good friend of mine, Xl9! It can be found here.

If you enjoyed Blue Trimmed Icarus, then it's very likely you'll love this little fluffy story involving Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash.

2648204 You believe in a murderer and a liar!

Hi. I just had time to read 'Long way from Tall Tales' last night. I really enjoyed the interaction between Nurse Redheart and Spitfire. I think you wrote Spitfire very true to character. I could really feel her sense of annoyance in the beginning but also her dedication to duty at the same time. Redheart was a little bit of a surprise at first, as she seemed to be detached and analytical, but her compassion became evident during her interaction with Spitfire and the conductor. Overall this was a terrific story and I liked the focus on the clues and how Spitfire interpreted them. I hope you continue this story as I think there is much more to tell from Tall Tales!

2651901 I am very glad that you took the time to read Tall Tales. It was mean to be a quick project to get my mind off of other things, and ended up being quite a good little story. If you're interested in the inspiration behind it and such, I could create a post detailing the process I went through to create it.

I like to try and write a more mature and complex character than what I usually see. Spitfire does seem like one who wouldn't have that job unless they, in some way, felt duty bound or had other driving forces towards it. At the same time, nobody wants having to do grunt work in the middle of the night.

And then we have Redheart, focused don her profession. She's trained to look at the evidence first and, despite some of her best efforts, she may still be drawn into the lives of those she examines. They're both career focused characters, but that doesn't mean either of them have to be heartless or static.

They shine when they apply their logic and trade. Professionals coming together for a single purpose is something that CSI struggles to capture (even if it tries), as well as other mediums. Thought the task at hand may seem a bit cold, it's driven by knowledge and training. Not to mention curiosity.

I hadn't planned on continuing Tall Tales. I had someone else say they wanted to a see a continuation, but I thought that was from me mistakenly not hitting the 'finished' when I submitted the fiction. I do plan on continuing the way I'm writing the characters, and even have some history develop between stories, even if they are one-shots.

Though if enough people demand, I may also continue Tall Tales. Not every story in life has a conclusion, and I wanted this to come across in the story, but it could be fun in the future.

Again, thanks a million!

Hi. Sorry for taking so long to reply.....real life sure has a way of taking up time and wearing me down! Thanks for the response. I for one would like to see more of this story. Or perhaps it could be intertwined with other plots in another story. Just a random thought from someone that doesn't really write much! I'd like very much to hear what inspired the plot and characters for Tall Tales. It was an interesting read and I'd like to know some of the back story. Thanks and I hope you have a Merry Christmas!
