Geth stood in the dark hallway. He held his father’s old double-barreled shotgun, loaded with two shells. He didn’t hear the creature’s footsteps, he didn’t hear anything. A just stood, facing the end of the hall.

Finally, the creature shown. It was faceless, it had only a single mouth, smeared slightly in blood. It’s arms were mere stumps and it shuffled slowly to Geth on its stumpy legs. He pulled the first trigger of the weapon, nothing came from the gun. He squeezed both triggers, waiting for that incredible kick. Still nothing.

The creature had moved closer. Geth had wanted to swing at the creature, but felt as if that would do nothing. He had one thought, he turned and began to run. Something had caught his feet though, not something that could trip him, just something that slowed him. He tried to run, still. Moving at an extremely slow pace. The creature was slowly but surely gaining on him.

He wanted to run, to sprint from the monster, but was moving slower than its own slow pace. His heart picked up more so. After only a moment, the creature simply touched him and slowly brought its mouth to his neck. Geth tried to scream, but nothing came of his mouth. The creature began to pull back on Geth, causing him to lose balance and fall backwards.

As the pain in his neck grew, he looked at where the face of the creature should have been. The skin rubbed up against his cheek, its rough texture. It did nothing more than clamp upon his neck and slowly grumble. He tried one last time to scream, but still nothing came...
