WEcon Chapter 7 Update · 7:10pm Dec 8th, 2014
I seem to make these blog posts for one reason and one reason only, don't I?
Well I'm sorry to say that Chapter 7 took me far longer to sit down and actually write. Nobody's fault but my own, and I really am sorry for this one. The good news is that as of an hour ago, the draft for Chapter 7 is finally done. The bad news is it's going to be another couple weeks yet, I imagine, until the chapter is ready for release, what with the holidays upon us and finals eating up the time of at least one of my editors. I hope you can forgive the extended wait, and in the interim, please enjoy the newest collection of art! Once again, all of these also get posted on my tumblr, and a lot faster too.
First up, one of the first pony artists I ever followed on tumblr opened his doors for a patreon, so I couldn't resist but sign up for one to get a monthly sketch. First month went to getting me this picture, of Alloy reading a comic book! And in case you're wondering, the November sketch went towards a picture of Mach, from Tofu's Outlaw, as thanks for the artwork he's done for me.
Next up, BluntTongs, the awesome pixel artist who did the animated version of Alloy's cutie mark, made this gorgeous representation of the fisher! I wonder what happened to that thing anyway?
And Tofu made me a vectored, color version of Egophiliac's sketch of Grit! And in case anyone is wondering, his eyes are the same blue as the shield in his cutie mark. Hopefully I'll have more Grit artwork to show you soon, I have at least one piece in the pipeline!
Erthilo, the author and artist behind the hilarious and engrossing StableQuest drew this picture of Alloy relaxing and reclining. It's a really cute picture, and I swear she looks more comfortable than she has been throughout most of the story.
And last but absolutely not least, Pencil Guy has drawn me a few different pieces of WEcon artwork, but I can only show you one of them so far! The other two will have to wait for chapter 7 to come out, as they are spoilers for what lies within. In the meantime, have this amusing picture of Alloycorn, the Forge Goddess (who I'm reasonably certain exists only because of that pun).
