The Penguin Stunt · 2:34pm Dec 8th, 2014
Greeting every one, Cowgirl here. Today I am going to be sharing with you a story I have been meaning to tell for Three years. The Penguin Stunt.
Now you probably have been wondering about my blog headers recently... In case you haven't guessed. It's an advent. My love for the penguin goes way back, to when I was but a year old. This though is not the penguin stunt.
The penguin stunt is a term I came up with to refer to anyone who goes behind the leaders back to do something goofy that the leader probably doesn't want done.
It all started when Glitter decided that I was GOING to be in her play. Now I am not REALLY, the type to get up in front of people. So when ever Glitter decided to do another one of her plays I have always, kind of, backed off. This time she had a ace in the hole that I couldn't resist. I would play the lead roll, Jane Bigwig; The prodigal Daughter.
The play was two pages long, and started with me yelling at my 'dad' explain exactly how much I did NOT want to work in his factory as a mail girl! Then, after she finally throws her hands in the air Jane asks for her inheritance and... you know the story.
Well The penguin stunt happened at the point of the story where she discovers that she is out of money. I was SUPPOSED to just rummage in my purse then declare my self out of money. But really, the play was short enough as it was so... can you guess what I stuck in my purse?
Yep. Among other things. I had the crowd ROLLING as I pulled odity after odity out of that big pink purse. All of the items in there made perfect sense if you know me! But for an 18 year old rich kid? Oh dear! I had been told to gather things that NORMAL people had... Nope... That just plain isn't the way I work. I obeyed during practice, but when it came time for the actual advent... forget it!
Now lucky for me my director knew me well and was as amused as the rest of the audience, But that was the penguin stunt.
(Glitter you may stop reading here)
On another note. One thing I would love to do for Glitter's 20th birthday party in two months is have the prodical daughter done up into a YouTube video. (Maybe even the rest of the series but I don't think I can do that.) To do this though I need animators, and voice actors and actresses, and whatever else it would need. I have never done something like this so I really don't know what it would take to do it. I'd need to refind my script. Really though this would mean a LOT to Glitter to have her first published work brought back out of it's mothballs. (I know where it is just I need to get to it.)
(Glitter you may start reading again.)
Anyways that was the penguin stunt. Now you know, and since I have a lot to do today I really need to get going.
SO like always. I'll see you next time either here, there, or IN THE AIR!
Snowball camera!
2640471 LOL Oh that is funny!
Fascinating.
2641263 LOL Oh that would have been something I would have done. If I hadn't been so busy keeping up with all 900 of my horses named Jingle-bells....
2641662 So far you are the only one interested. I still need a animator.
