Kish, it's been a long time since the last time I checked in. Haven't had much time to. But since today I don't have the response time for gaming, the mental faculties for writing... and most definitely the lung power to do anything physical... I figured I might as well catch you guys up.
In short, I'm down with the flu.
Life doesn't, and never will slow down for me, so while I HAVE been working on some written stuff, nothing has turned to completion. So just a little here, little there.
My asthma has been on the fritz. Nothing extreme in a while.
WJ turned 8 this year, and about the same time, (Think the same day) My mom had a stroke... She's recovering nicely, but she's struggling to type, walk, and a few other tasks. I'm glad it was a MINOR blood vessle that had it's issues. It was a stress Stroke, which does worry me.
My godmother as well is down with XYZ. I don't have permission to say publically, but again, it means I'm needed.
Breeze, her daughter has Epilepsy, and about the same time as her mother's medical issue, Breeze had a grand maul in the shower. Busted up her teeth, and head.
Then YESTERDAY, after we woke up with a 15LB Opposum in our house, (HUGE)... Rocky, Breeze's little brother decided he was going to help us all out by getting some paths cleared of branches... As a surprise for his parents... While he knows how this was the first time he's done it without letting the rest of us know. The Saw slipped and made a 3-inch gash in the top of his left hand. I'm kinda proud of how well he took it. He walked up to me, tapped me on the shoulder and went. "VK, I have a small problem and I'd like some help."
A trip to the emergency room later, and 5 stitches... He's now proudly sporting his first manly scar. I don't get boys.
So where's my writing time going? Um... The SOS's, and ASAP's that's where. As I said, I'm reviewing my old writing, and HAVE managed to get SOME writing done recently. How soon will you guys expect a new chapter? I don't want to commit right now. I've got a ton of painting to do prior to being able to do any of the other. Emotionally I still have a ton of blocks I've got to fight through. The past two years has, for lack of a better word, shattered me. And I'm still picking up the pieces. I'm going through some therapy... Won't say more than that.
Anyways, I better go make sure Tadpole, who is almost as sick as I am, and my brother are both where they need to be and doing what they are supposed to be doing.
I hate flu season.
