First, I have changed my avatar picture to something more fitting of my solid bronze medal for national holidays. I'm digging the spirit of Halloween this year and thought my profile picture should reflect it. Thus, ye now have a skeleton for a captain.
Secondly, The day has come! I have found and chosen someone to finish out Starcrossed on my behalf. The writer in question would be TheProfessor86. As my successor on this project, I have brought him up to speed on all further developments I planned for the story, though I also assured him that he is free to take whatever direction he wants with the story. He accepted and, now that we have agreed on terms, you can expect the story to migrate to his author page soon. I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the patience and loyalty those who have been waiting on the story have shown.
Thirdly, remember that announcement I made with a nascent sketch of the cover art that the brilliant Pedro Hander was doing for me? Well, I got the final draft a day or two ago and it looks amazing. But don't take my word for it...
Seriously, though. Props to Pedro for not only being a talented guy, but also with out a doubt one of the easiest going folks I've ever collaborated with (bear in mind that is counting professionals). I highly suggest you folks go favorite him for fantastic art and just plain pleasant company.
Oh, and speaking of this cover art, All Along the Watchtower is coming along nicely. I've gotten a good chunk of the draft of the story done and am already looking into some prereaders to wrangle up. However, please don't ask me if you can be one. I already have a pretty good idea of the people I want for the job and I'd rather limit it to them. Also, nothing personal if you don't get asked. I don't value you any less as a follower, I just have specific editors in mind. That said, all of you can rest assured that it will be coming out no later than Thanksgiving and no earlier than the week of Halloween.
