I need sleep. And an FAQ. · 1:42am Oct 15th, 2014
I just spent about 24 straight hours writing.

Chapter 4 is pretty much finished and I've submitted it to the indomitable will of my editors to be mercilessly torn apart. It's also over 10k words by itself. Ugh.
It's funny, because originally, Chapters 3 and 4 didn't even exist. Chapters 1 and 2 were both one chapter, and the last scene in Chapter 4 was supposed to be at the end of Chapter 1. I wrote three chapters' worth of content in between two points on my original draft.
This is getting way bigger than I expected it to be.
I think I'm gonna post an FAQ compilation soon. Stuff like what's different about this Equestria vs the show Equestria, how it diverges from canon, and other stuff like that. I'm getting a lot of repeat questions (like, "Why don't they just talk to Twilight and the Princesses?" and "Is Twilight an alicorn?"). This universe is still definitely the same one as the one from the show, but there are a lot of key differences (or, at least, fleshed-out details that were never approached by the show) that I've been trying to hint at during exposition that I think people occasionally miss out on.
Oh well. Just another thing on the pile.
Lel 24 hours? I once did 38 hours of straight writing for the Peachfic bandwagon. Also, I am a proud sonofabitch, photobombing your printscreen >:D
Twenty four straight, eh?
I mean, I approve of this because it gives me more things to read, but... be careful not to over-exert and burn out on the story, you know? I've seen a bunch of authors push really hard for a few weeks and write furiously, and they they just... find it isn't fun anymore. And I mean, while I love reading your story (and I think others do too), it's not like you're getting paid to write it or anything.
Just keep it in perspective.
2533662 Yeah, I'm doing this mostly because it's constantly rewarding and gives my brain something to work at while I'm not doing anything else. I'm on kind of a creative high at the moment. xD
