"You're not a burden, my love" Simon comforted his partner, Prince Lucian. "You're all 7,634,420,069,142,002,387,487,862,912 stars in my sky, Luce. And I love how brightly you shine"

Starbourne · 5:38pm Oct 9th, 2014

A couple years ago, I had an idea for a stroy called "Starbourne" that would be a series of nine books. (Separated into a trilogy of trilogies) It's not a fanfiction, but rather a story of my own imagination. I had the idea since before I became a Brony, so it doesn't have ponies in it. (At least not Equestrian, but equestrian with a lowercase "e" instead.) It's about these people who travel throughout all of space and time, across a triverse, (A multiverse with exactly three universes) on a starship disguised as a comet. (Called the Chameleon Comet, even beore I saw Doctor Who) The only people who could pilot this ship were people with a special stellar energy from a star called Feria within their bodies. The energy is called Ferian energy (doy!) and the people are called Starbournes. So far I've thought of ten Starbournes' names and titles. (Though there will be more)

The ten Starbournes are, in no particular order, Brevenius (bra-VEN-ee-us) Devlyn, Belimica (bell-a-MEE-ca) DeLaura, Simon, Theodore, and Kristoff Devlyn, (All three are sons of the first two, Belimica just decided to keep her maiden name for her own reasons) The Nova triplets, (two of whose names I keep changing, but one is always Lucilia (loo-SEAL-ee-a) Nova) Eveline Delebleux (e-va-LEAN de-la-BLUE) and Stellanova Devlyn. Titles, respectively, are Adventurer Extraordinaire, the Wanderer Among the Many Worlds, the Bearer of the New Star, Actor Extraordinaire, the Infidel of His Own Power, the Triangels, (TRY-ain-julls, Lucilia is the Dreamer Who Walks Within the Dream) the Golden Flayme, (FLAME) and the New Star.

Whaddya think? I've got the book titles all figured out, but I'd have to write the series on something that isn't Fanfiction or FiMFiction. Any ideas of a site? Since this post is about a story, I'd hate to leave it untagged, so I'll just tag it with the story that most relates to it. It's related to The Sane and the Lost because Clara Belle Harkens is the mother of Eveline Delebleux. (Though the pony-named characters in that part of the Starbourne story would be renamed to my originals)

Also, I had a half day at school tody! I've got plenty of free time today, so PM me and stuff.

2520935 I'd say go for it this sounds like an interesting concept that would be cool to see.

2521029 I just need a publishing site that's free and online. And not this one.

2521033 If it helps, I heard of a site called wattapad.

2521039 Tried it, it's down.

2521041 Really? Damn that sucks.

You can post any kind of story on DeviantArt.

How many words do you estimate this nineology to take? Do you think you can do something of such great scale?

2539263 How many words, you ask? I'd say... between one-half and two million. I'd post it here (After ponifying it. That would be... postponification?)

2539311 How many words can you write in one afternoon after you come from school?

2539330 With an idea? 3k. From scratch? (As I usually am when I get home) I can do... Maybe 750. Since I only thought of the nine general plots and their combination into one, it takes me a while to write the plots for the the individual chapters.

2539367 Sometimes birthdays happen, school project or studying for exams. So let's say 1000 per day. Sometimes 2000 and sometimes 0, but 1000 in avarage.

To write a two million words fic, you need 2000 days. That's 6 years.

Are you okay with throwing 6 years of your life away, only to find that only about 100 people will read your whole story?

2539386 I'm hoping to make it into books.

a) because I don't do oneshots.

2539396 There are too many books and too many authors out there. Many authors that are dead set on publishing a book settle for paying more money for publishing then they get out of it, just so that they can sate their life long dream. Realistically speaking, you can't make money by publishing books.

2539409 I'm not in it for the money. I just want my ideas to be heard by everyone.

2539418 How many is everyone? Would 1000 views suffice?

2539429 Yes. More than. (200 would suffice) I meant everyone in my neighbourhood, plus a few outsiders. I don't need to publish it for that, I can just print it myself the once and pass it on. If others like it, they'll do the same, and eventually, I'll have a few hundred copies spread worldwide while costing myself a mere $50. (For the ink and paper) I know this sounds dumb, but it'll all be worth it when I find the One Fortuity. (Something Simon does in the last book, basically meaning that he was lucky enough to have saved his triverse and have plenty of years left to live. He finds out later that he was wrong about his long life, and his time to die was coming all too soon.)

2539470 Do you think you will get better at writing as you write?

When you finish the last chapter, will you still like your first chapter, or will you perhaps want to rewrite it all?

2539482 I'll probably rewrite it, but I think i WAY overestimated the wordcount. Like, chop off a zero kind of overestimate. (By a factor of 10) So I think, maybe, 150,000?

2539498 Even that isn't that little. I've started my novel when I started out here. It's been almost a year and a half and I still haven't finished it. I used to be head over heels in love with my idea and my novel. As I wrote it, I got better and now I see some problems with it. When a story gains length, it's very easy to make a wrong turn along the way.
