Fallout Equestria: Morality System Announcement/Character List · 10:47pm Oct 3rd, 2014

Hello everybody, to.. well, a 'teaser', of sorts, I suppose. You see, recently I've been reading Fallout: Equestria and Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons, by KKat and Somber respectively. And, having seen the enormous fanbase behind it on this site, I figured, Hey, why don't I try a take at this Fallout Equestria stuff?

So, I figured that I would write out the character sheet for this story, and basic summary. Because, why not? And no, this has nothing to do with Fallout Equestria: Mutually Assured Destroyer. I'm still working on the first chapter of that.

Now, to speak of the story!

Fallout Equestria: Morality System

It has been 200 years since the first megaspells went off. The Equine race is near-extinct, and villainy and debauchery run wild against what had once been the pristine and kind realm of Equestria. Raiders, Enclave, Robots, Mutants, all manner of horrific groups and organizations wreck havoc across the wastelands.

So what happens when a group made up of exiled or terrible members of the aforementioned organizations band together to strike down an insane madman with plans to set off the most powerful Megaspell the realm has ever seen since the Great War?

Simple: A question.

What truly makes a Hero separate from a villain?

Eh, eh? Interesting?

And, if that didn't get your attention, read on ahead to see the lovable despicable cast.

PROTAGONISTS

Hors D'oeuvre: Affectionately named 'Horse Devourer' by his fellow raiders, Hors D'oeuvre is a very unique Raider. Whereas most Raiders are bloodlusted, mindless monsters, Hors retains an air of Civility and Gentlecoltship practically unseen in the last 200 years by true Wasteland inhabitants. This civilized personality is somewhat flawed however due to his obsession with Cannibalism, with the flesh of fellow ponies making up the bulk of his diet, a fact he laments but doesn't truly mind. He has a lanky build, a pale brown coat, and a black and messy mane/tail. He wears a standard Raider uniform (Scraps of Leather and Metal loosely making up a uniform), with a hood and tie made out of tanned Lavender pony skin. He has muddy green eyes and wears cracked wire frame glasses.

Earth Pony

Cutie Mark: A Dinner Knife alongside a plate with a crude symbol of a pony engraved in it.

Barb Wire: Few Colts and Fillies have ever had a transition into the harshness of the wasteland as rough as Barb Wire, once known by her birth name of Wheat Grain. Her family was a group of farmers living near the colony of New Chigacolt, and lived out a fair life with her mother, father, brother, sister and her stuffed Dragon plushie, Sparks. This mediocre and peaceful existence, by Wasteland standards, was shattered when a band of Raiders attacked the plantation, slaughtering Wheat Grains mother and father, torturing her brother and raping her and her traumatized sister. Hors, who'd been a member of the Raiders in question, came across the grisly scene a half an hour into the horrific deflowering. Filled with an inexplicable rage, he brutally murdered the pair of Raiders and tended to the traumatized fillies. Over time, he began to raise them as his own 'daughters' in a strange way, making them into fellow Raiders as well. With this, the girls became almost nothing like how they once were. Whole Grain, Wheat Grains sister, would rename herself as 'Pin Nail' and would become the courtesan and left-hoof mare of the Raider Bands' leader, a Chimera named Delphi. Wheat Grain became the introverted, near mute, trapper known as Barb Wire. She has a light yellow coat and a short red mane and tail. She wears a ratty stetson hat with Barb Wired edges, dark shades and a slim overcoat, as well as a bandoleer of various 'weapons' (Bear Traps, Barbed Wire Garrote String, A hopefully filled Shotgun holster, etc) and a Satchel that holds her childhood stuffy, Sparks alongside other artifacts of her childhood. She has pale pink eyes and also has a taste for pony flesh like Hors, albeit to a much lesser degree.

Unicorn

Cutie Mark: Barbed Wire

Gale Winds: A brash and rebellious officer of the Pegasi Enclave, Dashite, Gale Wind is was a high-ranking officer in the Local Enclave outpost of ⒸⓁⓄⓊⒹ 9 (Centralized Logistics Overwatch, Underground Depot), a subterranean Enclave base, a recent installation ever since Ashes gained a hold of Anti-Aerial Guns, making conventional Enclave installments open targets. Gale Wind is was the leader of the military base until disobeying direct and orders and letting in Non-Enclave personnel, a group of beleaguered refugees from the Pre-War, and now swamped, city of Old Chigacolt. When Enclave High Command learned of the breach in protocol from an overly-loyal lieutenant, the refugees were executed and Gale Wind was forcibly removed from his post and branded a Dashite, forced to wander the wastelands as an outsider. After 4 weeks of barely scraping by, he came across Hors and Barb Wire shortly after their exile from the Raiders Band that swore fealty to Ashes. After much convincing, he was able to join the group as a sort of Guide to the wastelands. Gale has a pale grey coat and short black mane and tail, as well as a neatly trimmed goatee. He wears an unpressed and dirty Enclave Officers uniform (Coat, Cap, A small pin that shows he's a Dashite). Gale has deep purple eyes, and is also one of the few 'sane' people in the group, seeing Hors D'oeuvre's cannibalistic diet disturbing. He also gets along very well with Barb Wire.

Pegasus

Cutie Mark: Dashite Mark

Drone #3842, 'Cocoon': Hiding in the darkest corners of the wasteland is an ancient enemy of the Equestrian people, known as the Changelings: A race of insectile, shape-shifting emotion-devouring monsters, although their numbers are nowhere near as mighty as they once where ever since the first Megaspell went off, with most of their ranks filled with either stillborn eggs or horribly mutated Drones. 3842 is one of these mutants, its batch of eggs having been laid in a puddle of Taint, mutating his body horribly. The queen of the Hive, Ovipositor, banished the Changeling drone into the wastelands in an attempt to keep it away. 3842 however did not die, like the Changelings before it. It survived. Thrived. Feeding off the emotional residue of the Wasteland itself, the Drone was able to 'enlighten' itself into a fully sapient being, and disguise itself as a silent weapons merchant, having been able to kill a group of Raiders who were using various Pre-War weapons as clubs. He would come across the path of Hors and his band numerous times during his adventures, eventually revealing what he was when Hors confronted him on selling weapons to Ashes mooks. Cocoon vaguely resembles a Changeling drone, although with some notable differences: His eyes bulge slightly out of their sockets and glow a radioactive green, his chitin is pockmarked with small colorful bursts vaguely resembling oil when the light hits it, his forelimbs end in a trio of clawed talons and his mouth has been replaced with a long, tapered 'tentacle', with a leech-like mouth at the end of it. He doesn't wear anything, only taking on disguises if he wishes to be 'covered up'. He also doesn't really have any opinion on Hors cannibalism, seeing it as simply something he does.

Taint-affected Changeling

Has no Cutie Mark

PONI UNIT: Rocket: During the Great War, numerous methods were devised to escape the inevitable nuclear holocaust between the Equestrian Government and the Zebra Nation: The Stables, Aquestria, PROJECT HORIZIONS, and the Armoured-Knight Project. The Armoured-Knight project was a mix of civilian and military methodologies, ensuring that if the megapspells were to start flying and the Zebra Nation to settle the wasteland, the ponies of Equestria would be able to fight bakc in near invincible mechaforms, while also living comfortably in much more 'civilian' models, in a modified robot called the P.O.N.I (Personalized Online Neural Interface) Unit, filled with the conciousness of the lead scientists son, who'd died in a tragic aircrat incident the year before. Before the project could ever become approved, the first megaspells activated, flashing out civilization in the blink of an eye, and leaving 'Rocket' to stay asleep for countless years... Until someone activated him. Rocket has a somewhat comic book like appearance to him, an intentional design as Rocket's father noted his sons love of the stories and wanted to make him feel like he was in one. His body somewhat resembles a Pre-War representation of a Space suit, with a bubble shaped dome, a small breathing tank and flashy almost tinfoil like garment, all of which are given a specific purpose: The 'dome' acts as the head of Rocket, being an advanced magical projection orb, able to either record/show clips or give a curde magical image of his face, and if needed, can project highly potent magical beams at hostiles. The breathing tank, made of titanium and enlaced with powerful protection spells, contains his Iridum power source, and the 'flashy tinfoil' is mainly decorative eand is made of a metal-plastic alloy. All four of his legs end in small spikes with increasing small rings around them, acting as a levitation device, fuelled by an inboard levitation amulet. Rocket is roughly the size of an average colt, and has a personality to match: Rocket doesn't truly understand the horrors of the Wasteland, instead thinking it all of some big and odd comic book world for adults that he's somehow gotten his hooves on and doesn't want to leave. He's incredibly stubborn, and obviously childish, and seem's to hold a certain affinity to Barb Wire.

Mind-Implanted Robot

Cutie Mark: A Spaceship zooming past a ringed planet is emblazoned on his flank, and when his face appears on the orb, his true cutie mark is in the top left corner above his face: A series of comic book panels.

Now that you've seen the 'heroes', perhaps it is time you see the villains. And, for story purposes, the backstories of them shall be hidden from you. You can know about the heroes (a decision I only barely put in), but I'd like to have the villains keep an air of mystery around them, especially Ashes.

ANTAGONISTS

Ashes: Who Ashes is and where he came from is unknown, with him claiming to be a Zebra Warlord from the Caesar, even though he is quite obviously an Earth Pony covered in dripping White and Black warpaint. Few people argue with him on this point however, as those who do tend to face the wrath of his armed guards, outfitted with pre-war weaponry and technology. Ever since he appeared in the Wastelands, Ashes has been leading a savage war of aggression against any and all who do not bow to his will, carving himself a nice chunk of land in the Equestrian wasteland. He is now gathering various bands of Raiders and cities to his cause, saying they are needed to help him power the ultimate weapon... Ashes is a physically embodied stallion, with a muddy brown coat underneath the hastily and sloppily painted on white/black paint. His uniform is that of a Pre-War Zebra general, with extravagant Red and Golds outfitted against Imperialistic Black. His eyes are a feverous green, and he see's Hors, as well as everyone else who has denied his claims, as a madman that must be killed.

Earth Pony, think's he's a Zebra

Cutie Mark is covered by paint

Avbrequo: Ashes right-hoof man, Avbrequo is a skilled and sadistic Zebran Witch Doctor, having betrayed her tribe after they refused Ashes promise in an attempt to join him. Ashes, surprised at the depths she would go to to join, tentatively allowed her to join his operation, a decision he has yet to regret. Avbrequo is a skilled master in the dark arts, helping Ashes operation in the Equestrian Wasteland, and tells him where to go to seek out areas hiding significantly powerful relics or technology. And although Avbrequo swears utter loyalty to Ashes and only Ashes, some suspect she is working for a darker, more insidious cause... Avbrequo is always hidden in dark red/black Zebran robes, and wears a Ceremonial mask made out of the skull of a child Rhino, while her bright blue eyes poke out behind it. She knows very little of Hors, having small glimpses of him and his companions whenever she performs a Blood Rite.

Zebra

Has the glyph of a star emblazoned on her flank

Pin Nail: Originally named Whole Grain, Pin Nail was raped as a filly after seeing her mother and father murdered, while there brother was tortured. Unlike her sister however, who receded into herself and is still on the process of 'getting out', Whole Grain was fascinated by what she saw: engrossed... Aroused. Whole Grain had been very willing the night of the rape, a fact she had barely disguised and that her sister is unaware of. When being raised up by Hors D'oeuvre, she was the one that had pleaded for him to teach them the ways of becoming a Raider so they could "learn to survive the wastelands", although Whole Grain did it so she could experience the bloody and lustful life of one. Eventually, Pin Nail as she had named herself, was able to catch the attention of the Raider Leader, a Chimera known as Delphi. He took her as his mate and learned her fascination with rape and killing, helping feed it by making her one of the leaders of the Band. Pin Nail has a light lavender coat and long and wild black mane and tail, and she hardly cleans either. He only 'uniform' is a duo of clawed 'gloves' she made out of scrap iron, which she can use to deadly effect. She is also covered in various tattoos, detailing her life as a raider, like some incredibly large and never-ending cutie mark. Her eyes are a vivid yellow, and she has such an obsession with killing, rape and devouring other ponies, that even Hors D'oeuvre is appalled by her.

Unicorn

Cutie Mark: A Bloodied Cleaver

Ahuizotl: He's Ahuizotl, and he's a Ghoul. That's all I'm saying.

Ahuizotl

Doesn't have a Cutie Mark

And many more!

What, you thought I was going to talk about everyone in this blogpost? No, you'll have to wait for that!

Anyways, I hope this caught your interest. If you have any questions or suggestions for what I should do in this story, or characters I could make, just say so!

And now for obligatory picture

You have successfully created a cast of evil against evil

Although the Blobfish makes me suspect you din't find that a good thing.

2504366 It depends on the reason and cause, doesn't it? For example, the second World War, specifically the conflicts between Russia and Germany.

Both of these countries were entangled under vicious and horrible military regimes that eradicated what they saw as weakness, but people still see Russia as the 'good guys' in the conflict against Germany.

It's all really a question of lesser/greater evils, and whether that makes the lesser evil heroic or not.

2504436 Let's put it like this: What happened in Las Pegasus, will STAY in Las Pegasus.
