Chapter 32: Ambitions of Power – The Queen and the Princess
The promised second chapter in a week is here! Chapter 30, 31, and 32, really do complement each other a lot, so I felt the releases between them shouldn't be too long of a wait.
And now it all comes together. Cloning and Baking. I could think of no better origin for Queen Chrysalis after everything that's been built up. I'm sure it was quite obvious to most people (maybe not the baking part though), but hopefully you were still somewhat caught by surprise.
I really wanted to tie the Celestia/Chrysalis parallels. It's something that I'm sure is explored in no small amount of fanfics, but I thought this alternate approach would be fun. They really are quite similar in a few ways, huh? I guess that's why that duo is so popular in the fandom.
As for the 80's movie quotes, I was mostly inspired from the Schwarzenegger movie, Commando. It really does exemplify the best of 80's Cheese. I suppose I just had old action movies on the mind when writing this chapter.

Anyways, it might be a while till the next chapter release. I've still got a lot to edit for that Chapter 33.
Let's just say this next chapter is gonna be quite the doozy. One of the dooziest of doozies. After all, there's a lot to get through when it comes to the Royal Wedding, the penultimate of Celestia's "totally-real" false flag attacks. Look forward to it!
