Alright, so unanimously people have decided to vote for Twilight's Reign of Terror as my next story. As such, that is precisely what I am working on at this very moment. Unfortunately for me, as several of you have pointed out by now, through a stroke of bad luck my story has a very similar premise to the already existing Canine Complications. I'm wondering, therefore, if any of you have any context you can give me on the story and its entire plotline, because I have no time to read it and it seems like every time I try to create a new, unique plot element, this story has done it before. Ergo, I'd like to get some reader input on the subject so I can avoid making an unintentional snowclone of an extremely well known story.
If I can't find a way to differentiate it enough from this other, already incredibly popular story, it's going to end up being a lot shorter and radically different from the original concept.
Tagging Opening Twilight's Heart because I may work on the first chapter of the sequel and/or the epilogue in the interim.

I skimmed through that story a while ago. Basically, Twilight becomes a wolf, runs off with the timber wolves, Celestia turns into a douche and tries to eradicate them and Twilight tries to save them.

Never read it myself. I say just go for it and don't worry about what other people wrote. *shrugs*
2481656 lol, it was around the point where the author brutally sodomized Celestia's character that I really stopped paying attention to that story. There's a bunch of weird prophecy stuff about the timberwolves some day killing Celestia and feasting on pony cities too, which is kinda horrible.

I've read it recently and your premise while somewhat similar is not the same. Yes Twilight is turned into a wolf, a predator but her interactions are largely with her friends at first and later a Timberwolf pack. There's a prophecy involved and Celestia is hell-bent on eradicating Timberwolves due to a mistaken belief while Luna is willing to help.
In short the story revolves around her friends adjusting to the matter and she's around Fluttershy especially in the beginning while also dealing with fear of the townsfolk, the attempts by a dog-catcher to catch her, fear and the usual antics from the CMC. She meets and fights a Timberwolf pack who later believe her to be part of some prophecy leading to freedom and food for their pack.
What you've suggested is different, there is the similarity of both Twilight's attempting to control the urge to feast on meat and their predator instinct but Celestia is portrayed very differently in that one than what you've suggested. Spike is touched upon in Canine but not extensively and there's no mention of Cadance or Shining which opens your take on that plot line feasible.
