(FETISH BLOG) Lack of Macro/Growth fanfics in the fandom · 10:55pm Sep 21st, 2014
I was hoping by now that more stories like (Big) Macrotosh or anything written by Meagapone would have surfaced onto the site by now. I wonder if it's because marcophilia is really that rare a fetish, or if the people who are into it are too nervous to post. Also, even though I focus on normal clean wrighting, would anyone like to see more wacky fetish content from me in the future.
What are your thoughts on this?
I think it is mostly because such stories are written in "plot? What plot?" genre - simply, they are nothing but some obsessed fetish freak's fantasy. Author just wanted to let the steam out of his kettle - and he wrote it. The quality of this kind of literature is, honestly, quite and quite low.
And reading things like this leaves two thoughts: either "wtf I am reading?" or "author is sick as hell, he must have his hands cut, computer thrown away, and he must be forbidden to use the Net for the sake of humanity. Also, he must be sterilized, again for the sake of humanity, just that his freakeness wouldn't pass down to the next generations".
It is not the fetish rarity that is a problem, it is just people attitude towards it - both authors and readers. I believe there are more problems with other fetishes like diaper fetish, or ticklish fetish. I am not into these ones, so I don't know for sure, but from my observations (I've been looking there and here), those are in worse condition than macro/micro.

2473479 I agree. This kink doesn't always promote quality story telling. It's always the same plot told a different way. X grows and goes into ecstasy. However, Meagapon showed me it can be done. His Spike story was clean, and had all the arousing components of a macro story without being gory or lewd. Plus, the character driven approach I'm taking in (macro)tosh seems to be attracting a wider variety of readers, some of which do not have the fetish. I'm really glad I tried to make my smut fic stand out by trying to give it some depth (if only a little, it will never be My Mortal Big Brother, and if it ever surpasses it in either views or likes I'm going to be mega pissed

Also your defiantly right, and I was actually just talking about this with a friend. There are weirder fetishes to have but I think because some of them are realistic, they are more recognized. I think scat/waterspouts was around long before the internet, where as macro stuff was arguably born from cheesy B-Movies and Godzilla films.

For myself, I like a story which is interesting to read, with some real plot, not something like "ah, who cares about logic? It's a clopfic!".
I should admit, before I started diving into fimfiction, I thought that there is not so much good stories. Yet I was proven wrong several times and the ratio good/bad was higher then I expected.
I think they are rather... hard to describe in text, I believe, and much easier to describe in pictures, however! the pictures of that fetishes are just blurgh
simply awful in most cases. Foot fetish, featherticklish, crushing and so on And I believe if the picture was awful in a lot of meanings, then this person couldn't even write down his feelings - not too mention that he wil be able to make some good story with that fetish.

2482232 Same here. That and I don't want to scare my other readers away with this one weird aspect of myself. Much rather be recegised for my comodies and my serious fics. I'll try and make some giant/giantess fics when I have time. I'll even try and give it the same wrighting aproach that's made (Macro)tosh such a success.
