It's not everyday you see a story that hasn't received an update in 3 years finally get one, so I figured I'd give an explanation as to what brought about the revival of An Expedition. And if nothing else, writing this down will be a nice way of concretizing my thoughts on this. So here goes:

I tried so hard to sound posh in my writing that I'm actually a bit embarrassed from reading it just now. I can't believe that that's the first impression I've been giving people. 
I haven't finished going through the chapter all the way yet, but I'm definitely going to get that done as soon as possible... for my dignity's sake.
Good news, I have a chapter all written and basically ready to post. However, my usual editor has been busy recently and hasn't been available to edit for me. If anyone's interested in copy-editing or just prereading and giving me their thoughts, let me know.
I'm sorry this chapter took so long to get out, but it's here, so yay!
Other than this chapter being really difficult to write, part of the reason it took so long is because I started writing a one-shot that I really hope to finish and post.

This chapter really kicked my ass, but I'm happy to announce that it has been released. It's a bit longer than what I think I'll be shooting for in the future too, but I really wanted to get this part out of the way in one chapter.
