Hey guys, I've got a quick question to ask y'all. What do y'all say to some light hearted humor mixed in in some of the chapters? It wont stay humorous all the time, it will still definitely have the Halo universe trademark seriousness but If you do agree then throw out a suggestion; like, say, the Marines cross paths with Lyra, and with her being obsessed with humans and all, that might get a little interesting. Just wondering what y'all thought. :)
YES!!! LYRA MUST MEET THE OOMANZ!!!

Ok , that's one idea that I've been tossing around for a while.
Sounds awesome... and its your story do what you want
Humor? Do want.
Oh, don't forget: The Chief MUST have a Hoof-wrastle with Big Mac, Doctor Whooves has to make an appearance as well, and Discord has to be released some time during the fic.

DO. IT.
Go for it. More importantly, don't be afraid to experiment with the various types/level of humor (ex. verbal, physical, etc.) Just don't overdo it or make the humor sound forced.
Suggestions... Lyra, definitely. If the Mane 6 do get armor at some point, I think Rarity taking issue with the armor's design would fit well. Perhaps a side chapter with the CMC finding (and possibly taking) some Forerunner tech? Just some thoughts.

Oooo, that's good. Thanks for the input, I'll see what I can do.

Whoa, really? Thanks! I really did not think my ideas were all that creative...

Ah, it's fine. They are good ideas, especially the CMC stuff, I actually can't believe I hadn't thought of a chapter just for them before. Oh well, like I said, you have some good ideas.
Just experiment with anything and everything that comes to mind.
Type it up really fast, then read it over (imagining it without grammar errors and awkward wording) and decide if you like that story.

Ok, thanks for the tips.
