As the title up there says, I am just wanting to know y'all's opinion on something.
In truth how strong do you think Equestria might actually be if fully provoked into battle? I personally think they are definitely not a force to mess with. I mean, they have Pegasi that can alter the weather at will and we all know weather can be one heck of a force and it has been shown to make or break battles here on Earth in the past. They also have various Unicorn magic, while technically most Unicorn's magic is not exactly lethal, it can be sort of compared to the Doctors screwdriver. While not lethal in of itself it can cause other things to happen than can be, plus it has also been shown to be very practical when it comes to heavy lifting, fast movement, and shields. Then you also have the Earth ponies ability to band together and build stuff, this could easily be put to use in fortifications. Plus when you add in the numerous special abilities that the Mane 6 (Rainbow's sonic rainboom and the tac. rain nuke, Pegasi in general can probably go super sonic, Twi and her prowess in all things magic, and Pinkie's ability to... well, do what ever it is Pinkie does, (the best explanation I've read/heard of is that she can access a bubble universe/Hammerspace at will.)) and their respective races can do along with the humans there as well. Taking all this into consideration, if they get their fighting blood up and they have a good reason to fight, there isn't really much they couldn't do. Anyway, that is just my opinion, I want to hear what y'all have to say on the matter.
I think with all sentient creatures with human intelligence, above or bellow on a case by case. And based on Pegisi in the Christmas special with the Pegisi history of being war or clan like stat so the potential for violence is there. And with the royal guard magical knowledge swords and shields. I would say from my own opinion it is very possible. how ever the leadership in charge of said force, would be entirely up to interpenetration.

Yeah, that's where they might run into trouble, with the leadership and all considering they haven't been in a real conflict in over a thousand years, if you don't count the minor scuffle with the Changelings.
I'll need a full listing of the following stats and characteristics, listed below. In addition, we may need to chat over Skype as well.
First objects of the required information, in the form of one option or another:
-Are the ponies on offense or defense, primarily?
-Is this taking place in canon season 1, 2, 3, or hypothetical 4+?
-Are Twilight and Cadence both considered 'full Alicorns', and if so, will the alicorns be a part of the war as more than the leadership?
Please all relevant data about the following:
-The numbers of ponies currently alive and available for active duty in Equestria and its fiefdoms.
-The average training time to produce a single unit of soldiers capable of basic military coordination.
-The current foe of the nation.
-Additional forces available to the iteration of Equestria in question; are the other nations like Zebrica, the Mino/Goatic Combine, and the Griffin Kingdom allied, under Equestria's control, neutral, or opposed?
-What do each of the pony species have available to them, ability-wise? What is the extent of Unicorn magic? How much force can Pegasi produce with their wings and flight? What are the average strength and durability limits of Earth Ponies? Do Crystal Ponies in this iteration have any special powers, and if so what are they? How many other 'common' fanon and your pony races are living in Equestria? I have nearly 30 additional races available for review, if needed.
-Are the Guard companies part of a fully trained military? The Wonderbolts?
-Are there additional military formations already available to the Equestrian nation?
-What provisions are available for sieges.
-What provisions are available to support the armies in the case of military assault on a foreign territory.
-The availability of advanced war machines up to and including basic and advanced medieval siege equipment or steam-driven vehicles or better.
