Wow. Even I'm impressed that you're buying a ticket on the hype train for this one, especially given our mutual lord and savior Yahtzee is so strongly against hype. Still, I couldn't help but throw a bone y'all's way.
However, I would like to point out that while the traditional guard is present, especially seeing how Night Light is the secondary protagonist, the story and the series it is the forerunner of is mostly centered around the ranger, and rangers are much different. Best way I could describe them is if the Witchers from The Witcher, the Grey Wardens from Dragon Age, and The Assassin Brotherhood from Assassin's Creed all fused. They're mostly stealthy reconnaissance agents and monster hunters.
