Bronycon Repost · 3:49am Jun 12th, 2012

So guys, I've got a bit of a snag here. See, I donated to the Bronycon documentary, and threw enough of my monies at the screen that I'm getting an invite to the Q&A and private signing at 1pm on the 30th with Tara, John, and Lauren as well as a personalized hat. The problem is that I can't get to Bronycon, and I don't want my Q&A/private signing spot to be wasted. Anypony going who'd like to get in on this?

If I could get to Bronycon, I'd be more than willing to help, Shire. As it stands, I can't. I don't even know where Bronycon is being held.

Where is it? (I would have donated, but with starting up my business, I'm flat broke. :fluttercry:)

I would take you if I was actually going, but that's not the case here (Not going :applejackunsure:). I'm not entirely sure, but isn't there a way to call a taxi service if you need a ride?

169970 New York City. It's BroNYCon, technically speaking.

169975 Uh, yeah, not happening. Sorry. :applejackunsure:

On another note entirely, when can we expect a new chapter of Guardians of Magic?

I think bronycon is in NYC, and that's opposite side of the continent from me. Sorry.

I'd love to go but i don't have the money to get to NY from AUS :pinkiesad2:

169974 HA! I live in Edmonton, Alberta man. I'm asking here for anyone who is going and would want to take advantage of getting into the private Q&A/signing with Tara, John, and Lauren.

HOLY SH- *stops myself from shock, whistles* Wow... that's a long from Bronycon. My best bet would be to cough up the money for a passport and a plane ticket if that's where you live. That's an awfully long trip, and not to mention a huge hassle for somebody to get a passport and cross the Canadian border to get you.

170025 Lol. I've already got a passport, it's just the plane ticket to New York and back, the tickets for Bronycon, food, and lodging that would really bite me in the ass. If I had the money and time to book off, I would so be going there.

It's actually going to be in Secaucas, NJ. New York City is not the best place for a convention that's grown to the size Bronycon has reached. It's expensive, highly congested, and with very little parking.

The NJ location, on the other hand, has 5,000 free parking spots, to note just one advantage.

170040 Oh, then transportation there would really suck. But still, NJ is in New York State, and it's only, what, fifteen minutes out of NYC? Is New Jersey like a suburb of New York?

170049 *eye-twitches* You will die slowly for this... :flutterrage:

well. that repost worked...

170049 new jersey is an entirely different state. epic face-hoof for you.

170081, 170087

Yes...epic facehoof for me. :facehoof: I know that you guys have fifty states and everything as opposed to my ten provinces and three territories...but why do you need to have so many of them tiny and squashed together on the eastern seaboard? Don't answer that question because it's for the Founding Fathers to answer and really you, but come on.

170188 You don't understand... to say that New Jersey is part of New York is a dire insult to pure New Jersians! We despise those arrogant New Yorkers and their funny accent! In fact, we're planning on declaring war right after Bronycon!

:trollestia:

170527 I think that goes against "Love and Tolerate" just a little bit. :unsuresweetie: I'm sorry. It's a little easy for a Canadian from the prairies who doesn't consistently keep track of all fifty states to remember that two states right next to each other, each the size of Prince Edward Island or smaller, aren't one state. Heck, it's pretty hard for me to remember when you've got states named after cities within the states. How often do you hear people not from New Jersey talking about New Jersey State (and not their college ball team) as opposed to the city of New Jersey?

170589 Love and tolerance... except for New York. :twilightangry2:

They're the enemy because they are! :pinkiecrazy:

170698 new jersians don't need help insulting themselves, just look at jersey shore.

170731 that doesn't exist nope never happened

So I'm guessing that nopony's going?

I'd gladly take you up on your offer dude but I'm currently living in Wales, so it's even more awkward travel for me :fluttershysad:

Oh well, de Lancie is coming to BronyconUK so it's all good :rainbowwild:

170731 *hisses* They are not New Jersians! Neither are most of the people in North Nj anymore! They're all invaders from NYC!

We pureblood Jersians shall soon rise up and slay the invaders, who have caused deer number to explode, ticks and Lyme disease to run rampant, and begun to take away our precious toxic waste!

DEATH TO THE HEATHENS!!

183903 good luck with that. :pinkiehappy:
