I'm sure I'm alive, but why? Part 2: Electric Bungalow

    I live.
    How?
    I do not know.
    Why?
    Impossible to discern.
Will I return to the this site and the fandom of the Poni?
    That is uncertain.
What is the overland flight speed of an unladen swallow?

    .....

    African or European?

All I know for certain, all that can be known for certain, is that
I continue to wash myself with a rag on a stick.

    I'M NOT DEAD. HONEST.

    Seriously, I'm not.

Today was my 23rd birthday, and honestly I have spent more time thinking about writing in the past month than I did breathing. The next chapter is 94% done. I just needed to step back and take a deep breath.

    That breath is almost over.

    SOON.

    A State of Affairs.

Well. It's been a while, hasn't it? It does appear that I am, in fact, not dead. I know, I was surprised to learn this as well. I can't even really make any kind of excuse to explain my absence, other than this:

    Mental illness sucks.

    I mean, it really sucks.

Fan Expo Toronto! · 7:44pm Aug 31st, 2014

Well, seeing as I have followers for some strange reason, I'm going to talk about my time at Fan Expo Toronto. For those of you not in the know, Fan Expo is the biggest convention in Canada, the glorious land of my birth, and the biggest Fan Expo in Canada is in Toronto, the biggest city in Canada, which, you know, kind of explains why it's Fan Expo is the biggest. Sorry other Canadian cities (I'm looking at you Montreal). Anyways, being the reclusive introvert that I am, I wasn't planning on going, but a friend of mine had some extra tickets, so my brother and I sorta looked at each other and said "well why the fuck not?".

This was actually my first time at any convention (other than Games-Workshop's now-canceled Games Day, which was kind of different as it was entirely dedicated to table-top wargaming), and I gotta say, I had a blast! I didn't really go to any panels or anything, or even get my picture taken, but the shopping! Oh the glorious shopping! I had planned on staying there from 10:00 in the morning to 6:00 at night, but had to head home early because I ran out of cash in the first two hours. My swag-bag included: 1 particularly large Jabba the Hutt figurine (best Star Wars character), 1 Shining Armour and Derpy plushies (they didn't have Twilight or Celestia, which made me sad), Celestia, Twilight, and Big Mac buttons (1 each), the official exclusive MLP comic only available at Fan Expo, and the prints! So many prints! Human Mane six, sexy human Rainbow Dash, even centaur mane six! My once-barren walls will soon be decorated with pony goodness! But alas, I digress.

I also saw quite a few costumes. A pair pf mandalorians, several lady deadpools, a pair of vault dwellers, at least one main six group, a sailor Rainbow Dash for some reason, and the Doctors. So many Doctors I nearly lost hope in Who-verse. Like come on people! Though I have to award the best cosplay I saw to the guy who was awesome enough to dress as Dr. Evil (if you don't know who I refer to I will lose all faith in mankind), and the most inventive had to go to a full-sized lego person. Seriously, not a guy dressed as a lego person, an actual suit of a lego person, round head and square body and all.

Overall, I had fun, and though I needed to leave early for several reasons, I will seriously consider returning next year. Just hopefully with more money...
