Chapter III and Other Thoughts

Just a heads-up that Chapter III - all of it - is finally up.

Blueblood, flashbacks and an experiment at Shining Armor and Rarity POVs.

Future things and Stuff

I've also reached a sort-of-impasse with the story. It's categorized as slice-of-life - which is what it was initially, butI mate end up recategorizing it for the sake of actually fitting the meaning of the categories. I mean, currently, it sort of is slice-of-life: Blueblood and a couple of other ponies mope around for a bit. It could also fit into the 'sad' category, arguably, but... That's not really my main focus. Blueblood's thoughts are, and they're rather dreary, but...

But 'adventure' - even if it is Blueblood's deskbound leadership - might be more fitting? It'll never be a full-blown heroic action story - though there might be a couple of action scenes it'll primarily be Blueblood in Canterlot, which makes it much smaller in scope? A slice-of-life story with potentially massive consequences for Equestria as a whole?

Rather more eagle-eyed readers might be able to discern the (sadly) varying quality in the past chapter - the flashbacks were more recently written. Of particular note is what Blueblood says to the Stable of Peers. It's a bit Churchillian, I know, but I'd like opinions on that too - is it any good, will it get monotonous et cetera.

Also, Celestia will be in the next Chapter. In a flashback, of course.
